Abstract

A packet (1 ) for elongate smoking articles (7) comprises an inner wrapper (2) consisting of a sheet (8) of wrapping material folded around a group (6) of smoking articles (7), the packet (1 ) being defined by a front wall (25), a rear wall (26), two side walls (27, 28), a top wall (10) and a bottom wall (46), and comprising an outer container (3) which houses the inner wrapper (2); the inner wrapper (2) is provided with an opening (14") for extracting the smoking articles (7) and which is made through a top face (5) of the inner wrapper (2) and through a top portion of a front wall (12) of the inner wrapper (2), and the top face (5) and the top portion of the front wall (12) are covered, at least at the zones with the extraction opening (14"), by an adhesive label (39) having a border portion (38) connected to a top portion of the rear wall (26) of the outer container (3); a top portion of a front wall (25) of the outer container (3) has an indentation (25') whose border zones, when the packet (1 ) is closed, are covered by corresponding zones of the adhesive label (39), and the top face (5) of the inner wrapper (2) comprises two folded flaps (5c, 5d), front and rear, positioned, respectively, in proximity of a front wall (12) and in proximity of a rear wall (12') of the selfsame inner wrapper (2), the rear flap (5d) overlapping the front flap (5c) and the front flap (5c) being connected to the rest of the sheet (8) of wrapping material through a line of weakness (14), and the adhesive label (39) having a zone (43) connected to the rear flap (5d) to move it away from the smoking articles (7) whenever the adhesive label (39) itself is moved away from the top face (5) of the inner wrapper (2).
