Description

Portable navigation terminal
The present invention relates to a portable navigation terminal and a navigation system including the same.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, there is known a navigation device that can provide route guidance both when mounted on a mobile body and when not mounted on a mobile body (see, for example, Patent Document 1). In this navigation device, the route guidance output timing and the like are changed between a mounting state mounted on the moving body and a non-mounting state not mounted on the moving body.
In addition, when the vehicle travels, route guidance is performed by the car navigation device, and when the user gets off the vehicle and switches to walking, the parking position and destination data are automatically transmitted to the destination guidance service center, A navigation system that provides an optimal walking route from a parking position to a destination to a user's mobile phone from a destination guidance service center is known (for example, see Patent Document 2).

The navigation system described in Patent Document 2 has a drawback in that the vehicle-mounted car navigation device functions when the vehicle is running, so that both the vehicle running and walking cannot be supported by the user's mobile phone alone.
In this regard, the navigation device described in Patent Document 1 can be used in a state of being mounted on a vehicle or in a non-mounted state (portable) that is not mounted on a vehicle. There is an advantage that it is not necessary. However, in the navigation device described in Patent Document 1, only the output timing of route guidance is changed between the state mounted on the vehicle and the non-mounted state not mounted on the vehicle. The guide routes are the same, and each guide route suitable for each state is not presented (output).
Therefore, the present invention provides a portable navigation terminal capable of outputting an appropriate guidance route both when the portable navigation terminal is located in the vehicle and when the portable navigation terminal is not located in the vehicle. For the purpose of provision.

Hereinafter, the best mode for carrying out the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a main configuration of a navigation system 100 according to one embodiment (embodiment 1).
The navigation system 100 includes a portable terminal 10A that functions as a portable navigation terminal and an in-vehicle device 20 that is mounted on the vehicle.
The mobile terminal 10A includes a main control unit 12, a display unit 14, a storage unit 16, and a mobile terminal I / F (interface) unit 17. The mobile terminal 10A may be a mobile phone including a smartphone, a tab, or the like.
The main control unit 12 includes a CPU and executes various processes described below.
The display unit 14 may be configured by an arbitrary display device such as a liquid crystal display or an organic EL display. The display unit 14 may be a touch panel display that can be touch-operated.
The storage unit 16 includes a nonvolatile memory (auxiliary storage device). The storage unit 16 may be realized by a ROM. The storage unit 16 stores a navigation program (navigation application) described later. The navigation program may be stored in the ROM initially (from the time of shipment) or may be stored in the ROM afterwards. For example, the navigation program may be downloaded from the outside to the storage unit 16 of the mobile terminal 10A. The storage unit 16 may include a main storage device (not shown) such as a RAM.
The mobile terminal I / F unit 17 constitutes an interface for communication with the vehicle-mounted device 20. Communication with the vehicle-mounted device 20 may be based on, for example, Bluetooth (registered trademark).
The in-vehicle device 20 includes a display control unit 22, a display unit 24, and a mobile terminal I / F (interface) unit 26.
The display control unit 22 includes a CPU and controls the display of the display unit 24. The display control unit 22 outputs a navigation display (navigation screen) received from the mobile terminal 10 </ b> A via the mobile terminal I / F unit 26 to the display unit 24.
The display unit 24 may be configured by an arbitrary display device such as a liquid crystal display, like the display unit 14. The display unit 24 is disposed at an appropriate position in the vehicle interior. For example, the display unit 24 may be disposed on the instrument panel. The display unit 24 may be realized by a HUD (head-up display) that projects display light onto a combiner provided in a front windshield or the like.
The mobile terminal I / F unit 26 constitutes an interface for communication with the mobile terminal 10A. Communication with the mobile terminal 10A may be based on Bluetooth (registered trademark), for example.
尚、有線の場合は、USB(Universal Serial Bus)が、無線の場合は、Bluetooth(登録商標)がインターフェースとして好適である。 When the mobile terminal 10A is brought into the vehicle, the connection (synchronization) of the mobile terminal 10A with the vehicle-mounted device 20 is established. This connection may be wired or wireless. It should be noted that USB (Universal Serial イ ン タ ー フ ェ ー ス Bus) is suitable for the wired interface, and Bluetooth (registered trademark) is suitable for the wireless interface. In the case of connection by Bluetooth (registered trademark), the mobile terminal 10A that can be connected to the vehicle-mounted device 20 may be only a mobile terminal registered in advance in the vehicle-mounted device 20.
10 A of portable terminals may be installed in the position where a user is easy to visually recognize when brought in the vehicle. For this purpose, a terminal holder (not shown) such as a cradle for installing the portable terminal 10A may be provided in the vehicle. The terminal holder may be provided such that the mobile terminal 10A is installed near the center of the instrument panel. Note that the terminal holder may function as the mobile terminal I / F unit 26, or may include a processing device therein to realize part or all of the functions of the display control unit 22.
FIG. 2 is a flowchart showing an example of a navigation method (part 1) realized by the mobile terminal 10A of the present embodiment. The processing routine shown in FIG. 2 relates to an initial guidance route determination method that is executed when a navigation program of the mobile terminal 10A is activated by the user and a destination is input by the user. The destination input mode is arbitrary, and may be input by an address or may be input based on a facility name.
In step 200, the main control unit 12 determines whether or not the mobile terminal 10A is currently located in the vehicle. Whether or not the mobile terminal 10 </ b> A is located in the vehicle may be determined based on a connection state or a communication state with the vehicle-mounted device 20. For example, whether or not the mobile terminal 10A is located in the vehicle may be determined based on whether or not the mobile terminal 10A and the vehicle-mounted device 20 are connected (for example, in a synchronized state). In this case, for example, when the mobile terminal 10A and the vehicle-mounted device 20 are in a synchronized state, it may be determined that the mobile terminal 10A is located in the vehicle. Further, in the configuration in which the predetermined signal is periodically transmitted from the vehicle-mounted device 20 to the mobile terminal 10A in a state where the mobile terminal 10A and the vehicle-mounted device 20 are connected, whether or not the mobile terminal 10A is located in the vehicle is: The determination may be made based on whether or not a predetermined signal is periodically received from the vehicle-mounted device 20.
Note that the state where the mobile terminal 10A and the vehicle-mounted device 20 are connected is typically formed when the ignition switch (IG) of the vehicle is on. This is because the vehicle-mounted device 20 is typically powered off in the IG off state and cannot be connected to the mobile terminal 10A. Therefore, determining whether or not the mobile terminal 10A and the vehicle-mounted device 20 are connected is substantially determining whether or not the mobile terminal 10A is located in a vehicle in the IG-on state. Is equivalent to that.
Further, whether or not the mobile terminal 10A is located in the vehicle may be determined based on whether or not the mobile terminal 10A is held in a terminal holder (for example, a cradle). In this case, the terminal holder may supply the main controller 12 with a signal that directly or indirectly indicates whether or not the mobile terminal 10A is held.
In step 200, if it is determined that the mobile terminal 10A is located in the vehicle, the process proceeds to step 202. Otherwise (if it is determined that the mobile terminal 10A is not located in the vehicle), the process proceeds to step 204.
In step 202, the main control unit 12 searches for and outputs a vehicle guidance route. The searched vehicle guidance route may be transmitted to the vehicle-mounted device 20 and output on the display unit 24 of the vehicle-mounted device 20 by the display control unit 22. Further, the searched vehicle guidance route may be output on the display unit 14 of the mobile terminal 10 </ b> A in addition to the display unit 24 of the vehicle-mounted device 20. The output mode (navigation screen) of the vehicle guidance route is arbitrary. For example, the vehicle guidance route is superimposed and displayed on a highly accurate map display (including 3D display etc.) that is output by the in-vehicle navigation device. Alternatively, it may be displayed superimposed on a very simple map display. The vehicle guidance route may be displayed together with the current position of the mobile terminal 10A. The current position of the mobile terminal 10A may be derived based on a GPS function that the mobile terminal 10A can have, or vehicle position information that can be sent from the vehicle-mounted device 20 may be used. The vehicle guidance route may be made selectable by the user by searching for a plurality of candidates.
The vehicle guidance route searched in this way may be confirmed according to a confirmation (decision) operation from the user. The confirmed vehicle guidance route is stored in the storage unit 16 of the mobile terminal 10A and used during route guidance.
In step 204, the main control unit 12 searches for and outputs a walking guidance route. The walking guide route may be output on the display unit 14 of the mobile terminal 10A. Although the output mode of the walking guidance route is arbitrary, it is preferably displayed superimposed on the map display in the same display mode as when the vehicle guidance route is output. The walking guide route may be displayed together with the current position of the mobile terminal 10A. The current position of the mobile terminal 10A may be derived based on a GPS function provided in the mobile terminal 10A. Note that the walking guide route may be made selectable by the user by searching for a plurality of candidates.
The walking guidance route searched in this way may be determined according to a determination (decision) operation from the user. The determined walking guidance route is stored in the storage unit 16 of the mobile terminal 10A and is used for route guidance.
Here, the vehicle guide route is a guide route suitable for traveling of the vehicle, and the walking guide route is a guide route suitable for traveling of the vehicle. Due to such differences, the vehicle guidance route and the walking guidance route are searched by different search methods (search conditions). Therefore, the searched vehicle guidance route and the walking guidance route may be the same as a result, but are basically different from each other. For example, the vehicle guidance route may be searched in a manner in which a vehicle-only road may be included in the guidance route, while the walking guidance route may be searched in a manner in which the vehicle-only road is not included in the guidance route. In addition, the vehicle guidance route is searched in a mode suitable for traffic regulations such as right / left turn prohibition and one-way traffic, while the walking guidance route is a mode that does not consider traffic regulation imposed on the vehicle (for example, reverse one-way traffic). In a mode including a route to travel to).
Furthermore, the vehicle guidance route and the walking guidance route may be searched in a manner in which the route end points are different. For example, in the case of traveling by vehicle, it may be necessary to park in a parking lot around the destination facility, and the guide route to the parking lot around the destination facility is better for the user than the guidance route to the destination facility. This is because convenience can be increased. Therefore, when guidance to the destination facility is requested by the user, the vehicle guidance route is from the current position (not shown in FIG. 3) to the parking lot around the destination facility, as indicated by R1 in FIG. The walking guidance route may be a route from the current position to the target facility (an arbitrary position within the target facility), as indicated by R2 in FIG. At this time, the walking guidance route may be a route from the current position to the entrance of the target facility. This is particularly suitable when the target facility is large and the distance between the position of the target facility (for example, the center position of the display) and the entrance position is long. The destination facility is a facility corresponding to the destination. The facility is an arbitrary facility (excluding a parking lot), an amusement facility such as an amusement park or game center, a restaurant or other restaurant, Includes malls, stores, movie theaters, tourist attractions (eg, Tokyo Tower), stations, etc. The facility may also include natural attractions such as Mt. Fuji.
In addition, the parking lot around the target facility includes a parking lot in the target facility or a parking lot arranged in parallel with the target facility. When there is no parking lot in the destination facility or a parking lot arranged in parallel with the destination facility, the parking lot around the destination facility may be the nearest parking lot to the destination facility. When there are a plurality of nearest parking lots, a list may be displayed so that the user can select. Similarly, when a plurality of parking lots in the target facility exist apart, a list may be displayed so that the user can select.
In addition, the parking lot information around the target facility may be stored in advance in the storage unit 16 of the mobile terminal 10A. Further, when such parking lot information is not stored in the storage unit 16 of the mobile terminal 10A, the main control unit 12 may acquire the parking lot information from the vehicle-mounted device 20 side (for example, a map database of the vehicle-mounted navigation device). Good.
It should be noted that the user only needs to send the passenger to the destination facility, for example, and may not need to park in a parking lot around the destination facility. Therefore, for such a user, the vehicle guidance route from the current position to the destination facility is more convenient than the vehicle guidance route to the parking lot around the destination facility. Assuming such a case, the user may be able to select whether the route end point is the destination facility or the parking lot around the destination facility. For example, in a configuration in which the user sets route search conditions, the route search conditions may include such options.
As described above, according to the process shown in FIG. 2, a different guide route (vehicle guide route or walking guide route) is searched for depending on whether or not the mobile terminal 10 </ b> A is located in the vehicle and presented to the user. Even if the navigation function of the mobile terminal 10A is used in the vehicle or the user uses the navigation function of the mobile terminal 10A for walking, the user is provided with a guide route suitable for each case. Can do.
In the process shown in FIG. 2, in step 202, in addition to the vehicle guidance route, a walking guidance route after guidance is searched for in the vehicle guidance route and may be output. For example, when a certain facility corresponds to a destination, a vehicle guidance route to a parking lot around the destination facility and a walking guidance route from the parking lot to the destination facility (for example, its entrance) are searched for and output. Also good. In this case, the user may determine the vehicle guidance route and the walking guidance route as a set.
FIG. 4 is a flowchart showing an example of a navigation method (part 2) realized by the mobile terminal 10A of the present embodiment. The processing routine shown in FIG. 4 is realized by a navigation program in the same manner as the processing shown in FIG. 2, and relates to the guidance route switching processing after starting the route guidance on the vehicle guidance route determined in the processing shown in FIG. The processing routine shown in FIG. 4 may be repeatedly executed at predetermined intervals after starting route guidance on the vehicle guidance route.
In step 400, the main control unit 12 determines whether or not the mobile terminal 10A is currently located in the vehicle. Whether or not the mobile terminal 10 </ b> A is located in the vehicle may be determined based on a connection state or a communication state with the vehicle-mounted device 20. For example, when the connection state detected in step 200 in FIG. 2 described above (the state where the mobile terminal 10A and the vehicle-mounted device 20 are synchronized) is maintained, the mobile terminal 10A is determined to be located in the vehicle. do it. In this case, a vehicle signal that can be transmitted from the vehicle-mounted device 20 to the mobile terminal 10A and that indicates the completion of parking may be considered. The vehicle signal indicating the completion of parking may be generated, for example, when the ignition switch is turned off (when the trip ends) and transmitted to the mobile terminal 10A. In this case, the main control unit 12 may determine that the mobile terminal 10A is not located in the vehicle when the vehicle signal indicating the completion of parking is received.
In step 400, if it is determined that the mobile terminal 10A is located in the vehicle, the process proceeds to step 402. Otherwise (if it is determined that the mobile terminal 10A is not located in the vehicle), the process proceeds to step 404.
In step 402, the main control unit 12 continues route guidance using the vehicle guidance route. For example, the main control unit 12 cooperates with the display control unit 22 to display a navigation screen (a screen including a map display and a vehicle guidance route) according to the current position of the mobile terminal 10 </ b> A on the display unit 24 of the vehicle-mounted device 20. Output to. Further, the route guidance may be executed on the display unit 14 of the mobile terminal 10 </ b> A in addition to the display unit 24 of the vehicle-mounted device 20. The current position of the mobile terminal 10A may be derived based on a GPS function that the mobile terminal 10A can have, or vehicle position information that can be sent from the vehicle-mounted device 20 may be used. In addition, the main control unit 12 may output a guidance such as turning left or right according to the current position of the mobile terminal 10A. This audio output may be output through the speaker of the mobile terminal 10A and / or the vehicle speaker.
In step 404, the main control unit 12 searches for and outputs a walking guidance route from the current position of the mobile terminal 10A. The walking guide route may be output on the display unit 14 of the mobile terminal 10A. Also in this case, the current position of the mobile terminal 10A may be derived based on a GPS function that the mobile terminal 10A can have, or vehicle position information that can be sent from the vehicle-mounted device 20 may be used.
In step 404, when the current position of the mobile terminal 10A corresponds to the route end point of the vehicle guidance route (for example, when the current position of the mobile terminal 10A corresponds to a parking lot around the destination facility), the above-described FIG. If the vehicle guidance route and the walking guidance route are confirmed as a set in step 202, the confirmed walking guidance route may be output on the display unit 14 of the mobile terminal 10A. In this case, since the vehicle guide route is switched to the walking guide route without requiring any special operation by the user, convenience is improved.
As described above, according to the processing shown in FIG. 4, after the route guidance by the vehicle guidance route is started, when the mobile terminal 10 </ b> A is not located in the vehicle (for example, when parking or the like is switched to walking), walking Since the guide route is searched and presented to the user, an appropriate guide route can be provided to the user according to the change in the position of the mobile terminal 10A. For example, in the example shown in FIG. 5, after the user is guided to the parking lot by the vehicle guidance route R1 to the parking lot around the destination facility, the user goes to the destination facility by the walking guidance route R3 from the parking lot to the destination facility. Guided.
According to the present embodiment described above, the following excellent effects are achieved, among others.
According to the present embodiment, when the portable terminal 10A is located in the vehicle, route guidance by a vehicle guidance route suitable for vehicle traveling is realized in cooperation with the portable terminal 10A and the vehicle-mounted device 20, An in-vehicle navigation device can be dispensed with. However, as a matter of course, this embodiment can also be applied to a vehicle including an in-vehicle navigation device. Further, since an appropriate guidance route (vehicle guidance route or walking guidance route) is searched depending on whether or not the mobile terminal 10A is located in the vehicle, the mobile terminal 10A is located in the vehicle. Even in the case where the mobile terminal 10A is not located in the vehicle, it is possible to realize highly convenient route guidance in any case.
In the present embodiment, each process shown in FIGS. 2 and 4 is realized by the main control unit 12 (navigation program) of the mobile terminal 10A, but one of the processes shown in FIGS. The unit may be realized by the vehicle-mounted device 20. In this embodiment, the vehicle guidance route is output to the display unit 24 of the vehicle-mounted device 20, but may be displayed only on the display unit 14 of the mobile terminal 10A. In this case, the connection between the vehicle-mounted device 20 and the mobile terminal 10A is required for determining whether the mobile terminal 10A is located in the vehicle, a vehicle signal, or the like.
FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating a configuration of a main part of the navigation system 200 according to one embodiment (Example 2). The navigation system 200 according to the present embodiment includes the mobile terminal 10B, and is different from the above-described first embodiment in that the vehicle-mounted device 20 is not required. About the structure which may be the same as that of Example 1 mentioned above, the same referential mark is attached | subjected and description is abbreviate | omitted.

The processing of the main control unit 12 may be the same as the processing shown in FIGS. However, in this embodiment, the mobile terminal 10B outputs (displays) both the vehicle guide route and the walking guide route to its own display unit 14. Whether or not the mobile terminal 10B is located in the vehicle is determined on the mobile terminal 10B side (the mobile terminal 10B itself). For example, based on the GPS function of the mobile terminal 10B, when the speed of change of the position of the mobile terminal 10B is equal to or higher than a predetermined speed (a speed significantly higher than the average walking speed), the mobile terminal 10B is in the vehicle. You may determine that it is located. Alternatively, it may be determined that the mobile terminal 10B is located in the vehicle when vibration of a predetermined level or more is detected based on an acceleration sensor that the mobile terminal 10B can be equipped with. Or you may determine whether the portable terminal 10B is located in a vehicle based on the input information from a user (for example, the information which shows whether it has boarded the vehicle shortly). For example, the user may select which of the vehicle guidance route and the walking guidance route is desired, and the selected guidance route may be searched and output according to the selection result.
