Abstract

System (3) for the reversible storage of hydrogen, comprising: at least one reservoir (9) comprising a material (11) for storing hydrogen by absorption in the form of a metal hydride and for releasing hydrogen from storage by desorption; and at least one device (13) in thermal contact with the material in order, on the one hand, to extract heat from the material while the hydrogen is being absorbed, the device being intended to be in thermal contact with a cold source (7) receiving the extracted heat and, on the other hand, to supply heat to the material during the desorption of the hydrogen, the device being intended to be in thermal contact with a hot source (5) supplying the added heat. The device comprises a plurality of heat pipes (41-43-45) for transporting at least a fraction of the added heat and/or for transporting at least a fraction of the extracted heat. Assembly comprising such a system and a hot source and a cold source both in thermal contact with the device.
