Abstract

A decontamination system (1) for disposing waste products (10) accruing during the use of toilets (60), such as excrements, and toilet paper, comprises a collector device (20) adapted to collecting solar radiation (14), and a decontamination device (40) adapted to converting the collected solar radiation (15) into heat energy, and using said heat energy to decontaminate the waste products. The collector device (20) may comprise a solar concentrator (22), with a lens (24), for example a Fresnel lens (25), and/or a mirror, for example a Fresnel mirror, or a parabolic mirror. The decontamination system may also comprise a system for adjusting the collector device (20) to a certain position of the sun. Advantageously the decontamination device (40) comprises a furnace (42), wherein the collector device (40) is adapted to directing the collected solar radiation (15) into the furnace in such a way that the furnace and/or the charge (44) of the furnace is heated.
