Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betreiben einer Brennkraftmaschine (100), bei dem mindestens eine den Zylinderdruck in einem Zylinder (110a) der Brennkraftmaschine (100) charakterisierende Größe (PZa) ermittelt (200) wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die den Zylinderdruck charakterisierende Größe mit einem vorgebbaren Maximalwert (PZmax) verglichen wird (210), und dass in Abhängigkeit des Vergleichs (210) der weitere Betrieb der Brennkraftmaschine (100) beeinflusst (220, 230) wird.
