Abstract

Increased working hours and flexibility, and increasing confusion or lack of distinction between work periods, and entertainment or social periods, has led to many people requiring different outfits or styles through a day. The invention provides multiple use footwear (10) including a sole (12) and upper (16), and a heel (14) which is flippable about hinge (18), allowing a high heel to be stowed in a recess in the sole (12), and so providing a flatter more comfortable or casual shoe.
