  • An object of the present invention is to provide an exercising device that can be utilized for aerobics, weight training, or other forms of exercise, and that can provide a surface that is unstable enough to engage the user's stabilizer muscles, while not so unstable that the user risks falling off the surface.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un dispositif d'exercice physique amélioré comprenant une plateforme rigide et plusieurs éléments souples fixés sur la face inférieure de la plateforme de façon à rendre celle-ci quelque peu instable lorsqu'un utilisateur se tient debout ou fait de l'exercice sur celle-ci, mais pas suffisamment instable pour que l'utilisateur risque d'en tomber. Ladite plateforme est d'une résistance suffisante pour supporter le poids d'une personne, ainsi que le poids de tout accessoire d'exercice physique pouvant être utilisé par ladite personne. Ledit dispositif d'exercice physique permet donc à son utilisateur de faire de l'exercice sur une surface légèrement instable, ce qui se révèle bénéfique pour renforcer les muscles stabilisateurs de ladite personne et pour améliorer son sens de l'équilibre. Comme ledit dispositif d'exercice n'est que légèrement instable, il peut être utilisé sans danger dans le cadre d'un traitement de kinésithérapie à destination de personnes âgées et de personnes se remettant d'une blessure ou d'une intervention chirurgicale.
