Abstract

The present invention relates to an illuminating device (10), comprising a base, a circuit board (1) and a light source (2), a first portion (3) of the base bearing the circuit board (1) on which the light source (2) is mounted, wherein the base further comprises a second portion (4) on one side of the circuit board (1) that is mounted with the light source (2), and the second portion (4) is configured as a reflector (15) for reflecting light from the light source (2) into a region (9) to be illuminated. The illuminating device (10) according to the present invention has advantages such as a low cost, a high optical efficiency, easy installation and a good thermal dissipating performance.

Description
An Illuminating Device and a Goods storing device Equipped with the Illuminating Device
Field
The present invention relates to an illuminating device. In addition, the present invention further relates to a goods storing device equipped with the illuminating device. Background Art
The illuminating devices, especially the LED illuminating de¬ vices, are widely used in different aspects in our life. An illuminating device for a refrigeration device is usually used, for instance, in a display cupboard of cold drinks in supermarket. Such illuminating device should have a low cost, a high optical efficiency and an ideal light distribu¬ tion profile.
A traditional illuminating device usually has a tubular fluo¬ rescent lamp with a conventional luminaries design, as shown in Fig. 1. A disadvantage of such illuminating device lies in that considerable light leaks out of the refrigeration de¬ vice (as shown in Fig. 2) . An LED light source is used as an illuminating device of the refrigeration device in the prior art (see Fig. 3) . In this solution, the glare issue is solved with a lens and/or reflector, while the relatively complex lens or reflector 15 additionally equipped usually will affect the cost and optical efficiency of the illuminat¬ ing device.
Summary of the Invention Therefore, one object of the present invention lies in pro¬ viding an illuminating device and a goods storing device equipped with such illuminating device. The illuminating de- vice according to the present invention is capable of provid¬ ing a good illuminating effect to the inside of the goods storing device, especially display cabinet or refrigeration device, solves the glare issue in the prior art, improves the optical efficiency and reduces the cost as well.
One object of the present invention is accomplished via an illuminating device . The illuminating device comprises a base, a circuit board and a light source, a first portion of the base bearing the circuit board on which the light source is mounted, wherein the base further comprises a second por¬ tion on one side of the circuit board that is mounted with the light source, and the second portion is configured as a reflector for reflecting light from the light source into a region to be illuminated. As the base comprises the second portion as reflector on the side of the light source, an ef¬ fect that the base concurrently serves as the reflector is achieved, without an extra lens or reflector, for illumina¬ tion with a low cost in a precondition of good illumination and a high optical efficiency. Preferably, the second portion is configured as a bent por¬ tion that is bent with respect to the first portion, and a bent angle of the bent portion is designed to be capable of reflecting light from the light source once into the region to be illuminated. When a material of the second portion is fixed, the bent angle is related to a relative positional re¬ lationship between the light source and the region to be il¬ luminated. Preferably, the second portion is configured as a bent portion that is bent in an angle range of 90°-170° with respect to the first portion. Preferably, the second portion comprises a first bent portion and a second bent portion respectively extending from the first portion on each side of the light source , to respec¬ tively reflect light from the light source into the region to be illuminated. As the first bent portion and second bent portion are located on both sides of the light source, light ^
emitted from the light source to the surrounding can be re¬ flected sufficiently into the region to be illuminated for reducing light leakage as much as possible. Bent angles of the first bent portion and the second bent portion with re- spect to the first portion may be different, and they are re¬ lated to the relative positional relationship between the light source and the region to be illuminated when the mate¬ rial of the second portion is fixed. Adjustment may be made according to these factors to obtain approximate bent angles.
Preferably, a surface of the second portion facing towards the light source is configured as a reflective surface or coated with a reflective material. The surface of the second portion facing towards the light source optionally may be configured as a reflective surface, and alternatively, in or¬ der to improve the reflectivity, for example, the second por¬ tion also may be configured to be coated with a reflective material complying with a predetermined reflectivity. It should be indicated that optical structures that can project more effectively the light from the light source into the re¬ gion to be illuminated may be used.
Preferably, the base is made from Al that has a good thermal dissipating performance and a light weight; moreover, the base made from metal also can satisfy requirement of bearing a certain weight and has the advantages of fixedness and con- venience.
Preferably, the first portion and the second portion are formed in one piece through an Al extrusion process, thus greatly reducing the manufacturing cost through the one-piece manufacturing process. In a preferred embodiment, the base is configured as a heat sink, and a plurality of fins are formed on one side of the base that is away from the light source. The fin structure has a good thermal dissipating effect and is easily manufac¬ tured. The base has three functions in the present embodi- ment: supporting the circuit board, serving as a reflector to reflect light emitted from the light source into the region to be illuminated, and serving as a radiator of the illumi¬ nating device. Preferably, the illuminating device further comprises a transparent cover that defines a cavity, together with the base, for accommodating the circuit board and the light source. The light emitted from the light source installed in the cavity may be emergent from the transparent cover highly effectively after being reflected, and a good illuminating effect is further obtained. The transparent cover is made from a material selected from PC, PMMA and glass. The trans¬ parent cover made from one material therefrom or other mate¬ rial with the same optical property has a good transmission effect, and assures the security of the illuminating device as the transparent cover is sufficiently rigid. The light from the light source mounted in the cavity may be reflected according to the optical principle so that the light is emer¬ gent from the transparent cover highly effectively, and a good illuminating effect is further obtained.
Preferably, the light source is an LED, and green illumina¬ tion is realized in virtue of the advantages of the LED light source .
The present invention further relates to goods storing de- vice, especially a display cabinet or refrigeration device equipped with one or more illuminating devices.
Preferably, the base of the illuminating device is mounted on a housing wall of the goods storing device for illuminating a region to be illuminated in a housing. Preferably, the refrigeration device comprises a multi- layered storage shelf, and a top wall of each layer of stor¬ age shelf is installed with the illuminating device for well illuminating each layer. The illuminating device according to the present invention has advantages such as a low cost, a high optical efficiency, easy installation and a good thermal dissipating performance.

Detailed Description of the Embodiments
Fig. 4 is a structure schematic diagram of an illuminating device 10 according to the present invention. The illuminat¬ ing device 10 comprises a circuit board 1 and an LED light source 2 mounted on one side of the circuit board 1. The circuit board 1 is mounted on the base. The base comprises two portions: a first portion 3, configured to have the cir¬ cuit board 1 mounted thereon, i.e., a portion on the back of the circuit board 1-a bearing portion, and a second portion 4, located on one side of the circuit board 1 that is mounted with the LED light source 2. The second portion 4 may serve as a reflector of light emitted from the LED light source 2 so as to reflect the light from the LED light source 2 into a region 9 to be illuminated. As can be seen, the first portion 3 and the second portion 4 are made in one piece from a metal, preferably, from Al, for satisfying both function of serving as a circuit board carrier and requirements of reflective material. In order to reflect the light from the LED light source 2 into the region 9 to be illuminated as much as possible, the second portion 4 is configured to be two parts, i.e., a first bent portion 5 on a left side of the figure and a second bent portion 6 on a right side of the figure. The light from the LED light source 2 irradiates a surface 8 of the second portion 4 fac- ing towards the LED light source 2, i.e., surface 8 of the first bent portion 5 and the second bent portion 6 facing to¬ wards the LED light source 2 in the present embodiment. The first bent portion 5 and the second bent portion 6 reflect once the light on two sides, and then converge the light into the region to be illuminated.
A fin structure is formed on one side of the base that is away from the LED light source 2 for dissipating heat generated by the LED light source 2 and the circuit board 1 as quickly as possible. Besides, the illuminating device 10 further comprises a transparent cover 7 through which reflected light is emer¬ gent. The transparent cover 7 forms a cavity, together with the first portion 3 and the second portion 4 of the base, for accommodating the LED light source 2 and the circuit board 1 therein. Fig. 5 is a schematic diagram of installing the illuminating device 10 according to the present invention. As can be seen from the figure, the illuminating device 10 is installed on a top wall of the refrigeration device, and the region to be illuminated is a multi-layered storage shelf of the refrig¬ eration device for well illuminating respective layers of the storage shelf. Of course, the top wall of each layer of the storage shelf may be installed with the illuminating device 10. Fig. 6 is a light distribution map of the illuminating device 10 according to the present invention. As can be seen from the figure, the optical efficiency and light distribution of the illuminating device 10 according to the present invention are quite good. It should be noted that the illuminating device according to present invention can be used in the goods storing device, including the display cabinet and refrigeration device.

Claims

Patent claims
1. An illuminating device (10) comprising a base, a circuit board (1) and a light source (2), a first portion (3) of the base bearing the circuit board (1) on which the light source (2) is mounted, wherein the base further comprises a second portion (4) on one side of the circuit board (1) that is mounted with the light source (2), and the second portion (4) is configured as a reflector (15) for reflecting light from the light source (2) into a region (9) to be illuminated.

The illuminating device (10) according to Claim 1, wherein the second portion (4) is configured as a bent por¬ tion that is bent with respect to the first portion (3) , and a bent angle of the bent portion is designed to be capable of reflecting light from the light source (2) once into the re¬ gion (9) to be illuminated.

The illuminating device (10) according to Claim 2, wherein the second portion (4) comprises a first bent portion (5) and a second bent portion (6) respectively extending from the first portion (3) on each side of the light source (2) to respectively reflect light from the light source (2) into the region (9) to be illuminated
4. The illuminating device (10) according to any one of Claims 1-3, wherein a surface (8) of the second portion (4) facing towards the light source (2) is configured as a re¬ flective surface or coated with a reflective material.
5. The illuminating device (10) according to any one of Claims 1-3, wherein the base is made from Al .
6. The illuminating device (10) according to any one of Claims 1-3, wherein the first portion (3) and the second por¬ tion (4) are formed in one piece through an Al extrusion process .
7. The illuminating device (10) according to any one of Claims 1-3, wherein the base is configured as a heat sink, and a plurality of fins are formed on one side of the base that is away from the light source (2) .
8. The illuminating device (10) according to any one of Claims 1-3 further comprising a transparent cover (7) that defines a cavity together with the base, for accommodating the circuit board (1) and the light source (2) .
9. The illuminating device (10) according to any one of Claims 1-3, wherein the light source (2) is an LED.
10. A goods storing device equipped with one or more illumi¬ nating devices (10) according to any one of Claims 1-9.
11. The goods storing device according to Claim 10, wherein a base of the illuminating device (10) is mounted on a hous- ing wall of the goods storing device.
12. The goods storing device according to Claim 10, wherein the goods storing device comprises a multi-layered storage shelf and a top wall of each layer of the multi-layered stor¬ age shelf is installed with an illuminating device (10) .
13. The goods storing device according to Claim 10, wherein the goods storing device is display cabinet or refrigeration device .
