Abstract

Dargestellt und beschrieben ist ein Bremsklotz (1) mit einem Bremsklotzhalter zur Erzeugung einer Bremskraft durch reibschlüssigen Kontakt einer Reibfläche (3) einer Bremsklotzsohle (2) des Bremsklotzes mit einer Lauffläche eines Rades eines Schienenfahrzeuges, wobei die Bremsklotzsohle (2) ein weiches Reibmaterial mit einer Härte von vorzugsweise weniger als 400 N/mm2, weiter Vorzugsweise von weniger als 350 N/mm2, insbesondere von weniger als 220 N/mm2, und/oder mit einem Elastizitätsmodul von vorzugsweise weniger als 20.000 N/mm2, weiter vorzugsweise von weniger als 5.000 N/mm2, insbesondere von weniger als 2.500 N/mm2, aufweist, und wobei, besonders bevorzugt, als Reibmaterial ein Komposit- bzw. Verbundwerkstoff mit organischem Bindesystem, insbesondere ein kunstharzgebundenes Reibmaterial, vorgesehen ist. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass die Bremsklotzsohle (2) auf der Seite der Reibfläche (3) wenigstens eine Materialaussparung (5) aufweist, wobei die Reibfläche (3) durch die Materialaussparung (5) unterbrochen wird und wobei der Anteil der insgesamt ausgesparten Fläche (A) an der Gesamtfläche der Bremsklotzsohle (2) mehr als 15 % beträgt.
