Abstract

A door or window structure has a frame (9) which is mounted in an opening, with a support rail (13) extending from an upper part of the frame (9). A door or window (3) is pivotally connected to the frame at two pivot points (11) defining a horizontal axis. A connector at the upper edge of the door or window (3) slidably engages the support rail. There is then a displacement mechanism for displacing the pivot points along the frame to controllably vary the vertical height of the horizontal pivot axis of the door or window (3).
