Abstract
The invention relates to a battery system (10) for a motor vehicle, comprising at least two batteries (12) which are interconnected in series and which have respective terminals (U1, U2, U3) for tapping electric energy and a connection to ground (M), and a control device (20) for detecting a voltage and/or an electric current at the terminals (U1, U2, U3, M) of the respective battery, a short-circuit between the terminals (U1, U2, U3, M) to be detected by means of the control device.
