Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a packaging and application device for a product, particularly a cosmetic and/or care product, for example a mascara.
  • a product particularly a cosmetic and/or care product, for example a mascara.

  • Patent US 2,990,834 describes a packaging and application device that includes a receptacle with a spring fixed in the bottom.

  • the moveable element including:
  • - a central portion capable of being held on the applicator at the time of insertion and/or removal of the applicator into/from the receptacle in such a manner as to give rise to a displacement of the moveable element inside the receptacle; - at least one peripheral edge capable of at least partially scraping the inner surface of the lateral wall of the receptacle during displacement of the moveable element.

It is unnecessary to provide special means for fixing the moveable element to the applicator in order to enable the applicator to move the moveable element, a simple tightening of the moveable element on the applicator suffices. • the device of the invention thus allows improved recovery and makes it possible better to homogenise distribution of the formula over the applicator. Furthermore, as recovery is improved and the applicator is always in contact homogeneously with the formula, there is no need to leave the free volume used for pivoting the applicator with a view to seeking out the formula along the walls.
