Abstract
The invention relates to a method for adjusting the clamping force applied by a parking brake, said clamping force being produced at least partially by an electromechanical braking device comprising an electric actuator. In order to detect the wear and tear of the brake lining beforehand in a calibration step, the position of a spindle component which can be adjusted axially by an actuator, is determined in a reference nominal force point when the brake lining presses onto the brake disk. When the parking break is in use, the spindle component path is determined when the parking brake is actuated between the reference nominal force point and an actual nominal force point.
