Abstract

The present invention relates to a method and server for managing advertisements, which involve providing a user with competition structures between a plurality of advertisement items associated with a frequently searched search term, even when no search terms are inputted, thus arousing the interest of the user and providing a certain benefit to the user and to an advertiser according to a competition ranking, thereby encouraging a revisit of the user and a bid of the advertiser. The method for managing advertisements according to one embodiment of the present invention may comprise the steps of: an output unit of the server for managing advertisements listing and outputting real-time search terms; a selection unit of the server for managing advertisements selecting a specific search term from among the listed real-time search terms on the basis of the number of searches; a competition-space-providing unit of the server for managing advertisements providing the user with a competition space in which a plurality of advertisement items associated with the selected search term and including link information compete; a competition-ranking determination unit of the server for managing advertisements determining the competition ranking for the plurality of advertisement items in consideration of the number of clicks; a benefit-providing unit of the server for managing advertisements providing a benefit corresponding to the determined competition ranking; and an advertisement-providing unit of the server for managing advertisements providing the user with an advertisement of an advertiser supporting the benefit.
