- FIG. 5 shows an example of physically mapping a PUCCH format to a PUCCH region.
- PUCCH format 1 / 1a / 1b SR / HARQ ACK / NACK
- the number of PUCCH RBs that can be used for the PUCCH format 2 / 2a / 2b (CQI) is transmitted to the UE through broadcast signaling in a cell.
- Period and frequency resolution at which the UE reports the CQI are controlled by the base station. Periodic CQI reporting and aperiodic CQI reporting are supported in the time domain. PUCCH format 2 is used for periodic CQI reporting. However, in the periodic CQI report, if the PUSCH is scheduled in the subframe in which the CQI transmission is scheduled, the CQI is transmitted through the PUSCH after being piggybacked on the data. PUSCH is used for aperiodic CQI reporting. To this end, the base station instructs the terminal to transmit the individual CQI report by embedding (embedded) in the scheduled resource (ie PUSCH) for uplink data transmission.
- the base station instructs the terminal to transmit the individual CQI report by embedding (embedded) in the scheduled resource (ie PUSCH) for uplink data transmission.
- PUCCH format 2 / 2a / 2b shows a slot level structure of PUCCH format 2 / 2a / 2b.
- PUCCH format 2 / 2a / 2b is used for CQI transmission.
- SC-FDMA # 1 and # 5 are used for DM demodulation reference signal (RS) transmission in a slot.
- RS demodulation reference signal
- SC-FDMA # 3 is used for DM RS transmission in a slot.
- 10-bit CQI information is channel coded into 20 coded bits using a rate 1/2 punctured (20, k) Reed-Muller code at a subframe level (not shown).
- the coding bits are then scrambled (not shown) and mapped to Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK) constellations (QPSK modulation). Scramble may be performed using the length-31 gold sequence similarly to the case of the PUSCH data.
- QPSK modulation symbols are generated and five QPSK modulation symbols d0 to d4 are transmitted through corresponding SC-FDMA symbols in each slot.
- Each QPSK modulation symbol is used to modulate a length-12 base RS sequence (ru, O) before an Inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT).
- IFFT Inverse Fast Fourier Transform
- the DM RS sequence is similar to the CQI sequence in the frequency domain but is not modulated by the CQI modulation symbol.
- Parameters / resources for periodic reporting of CQI are configured semi-statically by higher layer (eg RRC) signaling. For example, if PUCCH resource index n (2) PUCCH is configured for CQI transmission, CQI is periodically transmitted on CQI PUCCH linked with PUCCH resource index n (2) PUCCH .
- PUCCH Resource Index n (2) PUCCH indicates a PUCCH RB and a cyclic shift ⁇ cs .
- PUCCH format 1a / 1b is used for ACK / NACK transmission.
- SC-FDMA # 2 / # 3 / # 4 is used for DM RS (Demodulation Reference Signal) transmission.
- SC-FDMA # 2 / # 3 is used for DM RS transmission.
- four SC-FDMA symbols in the slot are used for ACK / NACK transmission.
- PUCCH format 1a / 1b is collectively referred to as PUCCH format 1.
- 1 bit [b (0)] and 2 bit [b (0) b (1)] ACK / NACK information are modulated according to BPSK and QPSK modulation schemes, respectively, and one ACK / NACK modulation symbol. Is generated (d0).
- Table 2 shows a modulation table defined for PUCCH formats 1a and 1b in legacy LTE.
- PUCCH format 1a / 1b like the CQI described above, performs an orthogonal spreading code (e.g., Walsh-Hadamard or DFT code) (w0, w1, w2, w3) in addition to performing a cyclic shift ( ⁇ cs, x ) in the frequency domain. ) To spread the time domain.
- orthogonal spreading code e.g., Walsh-Hadamard or DFT code
- the number of cyclic shifts supported in the SC-FDMA symbol for the PUCCH ACK / NACK RB may be configured by the cell-specific higher layer signaling parameter ⁇ PUCCH shift .
- ⁇ PUCCH shift ⁇ ⁇ 1, 2, 3 ⁇ indicates that the shift values are 12, 6, and 4, respectively.
- the number of spreading codes that can actually be used for ACK / NACK in time-domain CDM may be limited by the number of RS symbols. This is because the multiplexing capacity of the RS symbol is smaller than the multiplexing capacity of the UCI symbol due to the small number of RS symbols.
- the PUCCH resources for ACK / NACK are not allocated to each UE in advance, and a plurality of PUCCH resources are divided and used at every time point by a plurality of UEs in a cell.
- the PUCCH resource used by the UE to transmit ACK / NACK corresponds to a PDCCH carrying scheduling information about corresponding downlink data.
- the entire region in which the PDCCH is transmitted in each downlink subframe consists of a plurality of control channel elements (CCEs), and the PDCCH transmitted to the UE consists of one or more CCEs.
- the UE transmits ACK / NACK through a PUCCH resource corresponding to a specific CCE (eg, the first CCE) among the CCEs constituting the PDCCH received by the UE.
- each square represents a CCE in a downlink component carrier (DL CC), and each square represents a PUCCH resource in an uplink component carrier (UL CC).
- Each PUCCH index corresponds to a PUCCH resource for ACK / NACK. If it is assumed that information on the PDSCH is transmitted through the PDCCH configured with 4 to 6 CCEs as shown in FIG. 8, the UE ACK / NACK through the 4 PUCCHs corresponding to the 4 CCEs, which is the first CCE constituting the PDCCH. Send it.
- FIG. 8 illustrates a case in which up to M PUCCHs exist in a UL CC when there are up to N CCEs in a DL CC.
- N may be M, but it is also possible to design M and N values differently and to overlap the mapping of CCE and PUCCH.
- the PUCCH resource index in the LTE system is determined as follows.
- n (1) PUCCH represents a resource index of PUCCH format 1 for transmitting ACK / NACK / DTX
- N (1) PUCCH represents a signaling value received from the upper layer
- n CCE is used for PDCCH transmission Represents the smallest value among the CCE indexes.
- n (1) cyclic shift, orthogonal spreading codes are obtained and PRB (Physical Resource Block) for the PUCCH format 1a / 1b from PUCCH.
- the UE transmits one multiplexed ACK / NACK signal for a plurality of PDSCHs received through subframes of different time points.
- the UE transmits one multiplexed ACK / NACK signal for a plurality of PDSCHs by using a PUCCH selection transmission scheme.
- PUCCH selection transmission is also referred to as ACK / NACK selection scheme.
- the terminal occupies a plurality of uplink physical channels to transmit the multiplexed ACK / NACK signal when a plurality of downlink data is received.
- the UE may occupy the same number of PUCCHs using a specific CCE of a PDCCH indicating each PDSCH.
- the multiplexed ACK / NACK signal may be transmitted by using a combination of a selected PUCCH among a plurality of occupied PUCCHs and a modulation / coded content applied to the selected PUCCH.
- Table 3 shows the PUCCH selective transmission scheme defined in the LTE system.
- ACK (i) represents the HARQ ACK / NACK / DTX result of the i-th data unit (0 ⁇ i ⁇ 3).
- DTX discontinuous Transmission refers to a case in which there is no transmission of a data unit corresponding to ACK (i) or the terminal does not detect the presence of a data unit corresponding to HARQ-ACK (i).
- Up to four PUCCH resources ie, n (1) PUCCH, 0 to n (1) PUCCH, 3 ) may be occupied for each data unit.
- the multiplexed ACK / NACK is transmitted on one PUCCH resource selected from occupied PUCCH resources.
- N1 PUCCH, X described in Table 3 represents the PUCCH resources used to actually transmit ACK / NACK.
- b (0) b (1) represents two bits transmitted through the selected PUCCH resource and is modulated by the QPSK scheme. For example, when the terminal successfully decodes four data units, the terminal transmits (1,1) to the base station through a PUCCH resource connected with n (1) PUCCH, 1.
- NACK and DTX are coupled (NACK / DTX, N / D) except in some cases because the combination of PUCCH resources and QPSK symbols is insufficient to represent all possible ACK / NACK hypotheses.
- CA 9 illustrates a Carrier Aggregation (CA) communication system.
- the LTE-A system uses a carrier aggregation or bandwidth aggregation technique that collects a plurality of uplink / downlink frequency blocks for a wider frequency band and uses a larger uplink / downlink bandwidth.
- Each frequency block is transmitted using a component carrier (CC).
- the component carrier may be understood as the carrier frequency (or center carrier, center frequency) for the corresponding frequency block.
- a plurality of uplink / downlink component carriers may be collected to support a wider uplink / downlink bandwidth.
- Each of the CCs may be adjacent or non-adjacent to each other in the frequency domain.
- the bandwidth of each component carrier can be determined independently. It is also possible to merge asymmetric carriers in which the number of UL CCs and the number of DL CCs differ. For example, in case of two DL CCs and one UL CC, the configuration may be configured to correspond to 2: 1.
- the DL CC / UL CC link may be fixed in the system or configured semi-statically.
- the frequency band that a specific UE can monitor / receive may be limited to M ( ⁇ N) CCs.
- Various parameters for carrier aggregation may be set in a cell-specific, UE group-specific or UE-specific manner.
- the control information may be set to be transmitted and received only through a specific CC.
- This particular CC may be referred to as a primary CC (or PCC) (or anchor CC), and the remaining CC may be referred to as a secondary CC (SCC).
- PCC primary CC
- SCC secondary CC
- LTE-A uses the concept of a cell to manage radio resources.
- a cell is defined as a combination of downlink resources and uplink resources, and uplink resources are not required. Accordingly, the cell may be configured with only downlink resources or with downlink resources and uplink resources. If carrier aggregation is supported, the linkage between the carrier frequency (or DL CC) of the downlink resource and the carrier frequency (or UL CC) of the uplink resource may be indicated by system information.
- a cell operating on the primary frequency (or PCC) may be referred to as a primary cell (PCell), and a cell operating on the secondary frequency (or SCC) may be referred to as a secondary cell (SCell).
- PCell primary cell
- SCell secondary cell
- the PCell is used by the terminal to perform an initial connection establishment process or to perform a connection re-establishment process.
- PCell may refer to a cell indicated in the handover process.
- the SCell is configurable after the RRC connection is established and can be used to provide additional radio resources.
- PCell and SCell may be collectively referred to as a serving cell. Therefore, in the case of the UE that is in the RRC_CONNECTED state, but carrier aggregation is not configured or does not support carrier aggregation, there is only one serving cell configured only with the PCell.
- the network may configure one or more SCells for the UE supporting carrier aggregation in addition to the PCell initially configured in the connection establishment process.
- each DL CC may transmit only the PDCCH scheduling its PDSCH without the CIF according to the LTE PDCCH rule.
- DL CC A uses PIFCH to schedule PDSCH of DL CC A using CIF
- PDCCH scheduling PDSCH of another CC can be transmitted.
- PDCCH is not transmitted in DL CC B / C that is not configured as PDCCH CC. Therefore, DL CC A (PDCCH CC) must include both the PDCCH search space associated with DL CC A, the PDCCH search space associated with DL CC B, and the PDCCH search space associated with DL CC C.
- LTE-A considers feeding back a plurality of ACK / NACK information / signals for a plurality of PDSCHs transmitted through a plurality of DL CCs through a specific UL CC (eg, UL PCC or UL PCell).
- a specific UL CC eg, UL PCC or UL PCell.
- the terminal receives two codewords (or transport blocks) by operating in a single user multiple input multiple output (SU-MIMO) mode in a certain DL CC.
- the UE should be able to transmit a maximum of five feedback states including up to four feedback states, or DTX, of ACK / ACK, ACK / NACK, NACK / ACK, and NACK / NACK for the corresponding DL CC.
- the DL CC is set to support a single codeword (or transport block), there are up to three states of ACK, NACK, and DTX for the DL CC. If the NACK is processed in the same way as the DTX, two feedback states of ACK and NACK / DTX exist for the corresponding DL CC. Therefore, if a terminal merges up to five DL CCs and operates in the SU-MIMO mode in all CCs, the terminal may have a maximum of 55 transmittable feedback states, and the total ACK / NACK payload size for representing this is 12 bits. If the DTX is processed in the same way as the NACK, the number of feedback states is 45, and the ACK / NACK payload size for expressing the total is 10 bits.
- channel coding eg, Reed-Muller code, Tail-biting convolutional code, etc.
- PUCCH format 2 e.g., block-spreading based PUCCH Format to transmit a plurality of ACK / NACK information / signals.
- PUCCH format 1a / 1b and ACK / NACK multiplexing that is, ACK / NACK selection
- the ACK / NACK multiplexing (ie, ACK / NACK selection) method corresponds to a PUCCH (ie, linked with a minimum CCE index) corresponding to each PDCCH scheduling each PDSCH to secure a PUCCH resource.
- a PUCCH ie, linked with a minimum CCE index
- an implicit ACK / NACK selection method that uses resources.
- performance degradation may occur when an implicit ACK / NACK selection method is applied using PUCCH resources in different RBs.
- an explicit ACK / NACK selection method using PUCCH resources reserved for each UE, preferably a plurality of PUCCH resources in the same RB or neighboring RBs, is discussed in RRC signaling.
- a plurality of explicitly reserved for ACK / NACK transmission is transmitted even though the number of CCs actually scheduled from the base station is one.
- the resource will be used. For example, when only one DL CC (i.e., primary / anchor DL CC) linked to an ACK / NACK transmission UL CC among a plurality of DL CCs is scheduled, it is implicitly specified (i.e., the minimum CCE index on which the PDCCH is transmitted).
- PUCCH resources ie, PUCCH formats 1a / 1b
- PUCCH formats 1a / 1b PUCCH formats 1a / 1b
- LTE-A may change a carrier configuration, which may cause inconsistency of ACK / NACK information between the base station and the terminal.
- 10 illustrates an operation of a base station and a terminal in a DL CC change interval.
- timings of applying the changed DL CC (s) between the base station and the terminal may be different. have. For example, when the base station changes the number of CCs available to the terminal from 3 to 2, the base station changes the number of DL CCs from 3 to 2 and when the base station transmits downlink data, and the terminal is the number of serving DL CCs The timing of changing the number from 3 to 2 may be different.
- a time interval may occur in which the number of DL CCs known to the terminal and the number of DL CCs known to the base station are different.
- the base station expects ACK / NACK for two DL CCs, but a terminal may transmit ACK / NACK for three DL CCs.
- the terminal may also transmit only ACK / NACK for two DL CCs to the base station.
- the base station knows that the number of DL CCs is 2, when the terminal transmits ACK / NACK for the three DL CC, the base station is based on the ACK / NACK for the two DL CC for the ACK / NACK received from the terminal Try demodulation.
- ACK / NACK cannot be correctly demodulated. That is, inconsistency in ACK / NACK information may occur between the base station and the terminal due to confusion of the DL CC configuration.
- a method of efficiently transmitting uplink control information preferably ACK / NACK
- a plurality of CCs in other words, carriers, frequency resources, cells, etc.
- CCs in other words, carriers, frequency resources, cells, etc.
- the following description assumes a case where two CCs are configured in one terminal.
- the CC is set to the non-MIMO mode, it is assumed that at most one transport block (or codeword) can be transmitted in subframe k of the CC.
- up to m transport blocks (or codewords) may be transmitted in subframe k of the CC.
- Whether the CC is set to the MIMO mode can be known using the transmission mode set by the higher layer.
- the number of ACK / NACK for the CC is one (non-MIMO) or m (MIMO) according to the transmission mode set for the CC regardless of the number of transport blocks (or codewords) actually transmitted. It is assumed that ACK / NACK information of is generated.
- HARQ-ACK represents a reception response result for a data block, that is, an ACK / NACK / DTX response (simply, an ACK / NACK response).
- the ACK / NACK / DTX response means ACK, NACK, DTX, or NACK / DTX.
- “HARQ-ACK for a specific CC” or “HARQ-ACK for a specific CC” means ACK / NACK / DTX for a data block (eg, PDSCH) associated with the CC (eg, scheduled to the CC). Respond (simply, ACK / NACK response).
- the ACK / NACK state means a combination corresponding to a plurality of HARQ-ACKs.
- the PDSCH may be replaced by a transport block or a code word.
- DL PCC in LTE-A is only capable of self-carrier scheduling. Therefore, the PDCCH scheduling the PDSCH on the DL PCC is transmitted only on the DL PCC.
- DL SCC is capable of cross-carrier scheduling. Therefore, the PDCCH scheduling the PDSCH on the DL SCC is transmitted on the DL PCC (cross-carrier scheduling) or on the corresponding DL SCC (self-carrier scheduling).
- the present invention when applying the ACK / NACK selection method for a plurality of ACK / NACK transmission for a plurality of CC, at least, including at least one DL PCC (in other words, DL PCell)
- at least one DL PCC in other words, DL PCell
- DL PCell at least one DL PCC
- all of the remaining CCs i.e., DL SCCs
- DL SCells in other words, DL SCells
- an implicit PUCCH resource linked to the PDCCH scheduling the DL PCCs For example, it is proposed to transmit ACK / NACK using Equation 1).
- the ACK / NACK state may be restricted to use an implicit PUCCH resource linked to the PDCCH for DL PCC in accordance with the manner defined in existing LTE, instead of explicit PUCCH resource (conventionally referred to as “PCC fallback”).
- PCC fallback a PUCCH format used for ACK / NACK status transmission and a modulation symbol transmitted through the PUCCH format may be limited to follow a scheme defined in the existing LTE.
- the ACK / NACK state may be transmitted using the PUCCH format 1b and the modulation table (see Table 2) illustrated with reference to FIG. 7.
- the transmission mode of the PCC is set to the non-MIMO mode (single CW)
- the ACK / NACK state is mapped to two constellation points on the implicit PUCCH resource linked to the PDCCH scheduling the PCC.
- the two constellation points for the ACK / NACK state are preferably limited to equal two constellation points defined for PUCCH format 1a ACK / NACK transmission for a single CW transmission in a single CC.
- two constellation points for the ACK / NACK state are limited to be equal to two constellation points for “AA” and “NN” among four constellation points defined for PUCCH format 1b ACK / NACK transmission in a single CC. That is, the mapping position of the ACK / NACK state on the constellation is determined based on “A” and “N” of the PCC. Preferably, on the constellation, the mapping position of the ACK / NACK state is the position where “A”, “N” of the PCC is the same as “A”, “N” for PUCCH format 1a, or “AA” for PUCCH format 1b. It is constrained to be in the same position as "NN".
- the PCC is set to the MIMO mode (eg, two CWs or two TBs)
- the ACK / NACK state is mapped to four constellation points on the implicit PUCCH resource linked to the PDCCH scheduling the PCC.
- four constellation points for the ACK / NACK state are preferably equal to four constellation points defined for PUCCH format 1b ACK / NACK transmission for two CWs transmissions in a single CC.
- the position where the ACK / NACK state is mapped on the constellation is determined based on the “A” and “N” of each CW of the PCC.
- "N” of the PCC includes NACK, DTX or NACK / DTX.
- “A”, “N” of each CW of PCC is mapped to the same position as “A”, “N” of each CW for PUCCH format 1b.

- FIG. 13 illustrates an ACK / NACK transmission method according to an embodiment of the present invention when the PCC is set to a non-MIMO or MIMO transmission mode when three CCs (PCC, CC1, CC2) are merged.
- the SCCs ie, CC1 and CC2 are both set to non-MIMO mode.
- the "explicit ACK / NACK selection” method is not applied to the ACK / NACK state of "A” or "N” for the non-MIMO mode PCC and "N / D” for the SCC.
- an “explicit ACK” for an ACK / NACK state with “A + A” or “A + N” or “N + A” or “N + N” for MIMO mode PCC and all “N / D” for SCC. / NACK selection ”method does not apply (ie PCC fallback).
- the mapping relationship between the ACK / NACK state and the constellation point follows the existing LTE rule shown in FIG. 12 based on the ACK / NACK for the PCC.
- Tables 4-5 illustrate the ACK / NACK state mapping table according to FIG. Tables 4 to 5 show some states in which PCC fallback is performed among all ACK / NACK states.
- the mapping relationship between PUCCH resources and bit values used to transmit the remaining ACK / NACK states may be arbitrarily defined in the present invention. That is, the mapping relationship between PUCCH resources and bit values used to transmit the remaining ACK / NACK states is don't care in the present invention.

- the above-described assumption is an example.
- the ACK / NACK for all SCCs is NACK / DTX
- the ACK / NACK transmission method according to the present invention is not affected by the number of SCCs and the transmission mode of the SCCs. - Alt c a method of mapping (NN + N / D) to MCC PUCCH # 1 as it is and mapping only (NN + D) from (NN + N / D) to non-MCC PUCCH may be considered (Alt c).
- Alt c since only (NN + D) of (NN + N / D) is transmitted on MCC PUCCH, it is possible to clearly feedback whether DTX for non-MCC.
- Alt c may be advantageous if the PCC operates in non-MIMO mode.
