Abstract

Eine Brennstoffzelle umfasst eine Bipolarplatte (1) oder einen Stack (7) aus mehreren Bipolarplatten (1). Die Bipolarplatte(n) weist bzw. weisen seitliche Kühlfinnen (2) auf, in denen Kühlkanäle (9) angeordnet sind. Im Falle eines Stacks (7) ist wenigstens eine Dichtung (6) zwischen den Bipolarplatten (1) angeordnet. Die Kühlfinnen (2), die Kühlkanäle (9) und/oder die Dichtung (6) weisen eine an die Wärmeverteilung innerhalb der Bipolarplatte (1) und/oder innerhalb des Stacks (7) angepasste, und/oder eine stabilitätserhöhende Ausgestaltung auf.
