Abstract

A present invention represents a mercury reciprocating engine for producing clean energy with efficiency more than 100 percent. This engine includes movable stainless steel vessel with welded stainless steel top cover. The vessel contains object inside and mercury liquid in between clearance. The vessel can move in two strokes, upward and downward. When the stainless steel vessel at the upper position, the suction pump will be operated to drain the mercury liquid from the vessel and at the same time the discharge pump will be stopped supplying mercury liquid to the vessel, the result is the stainless steel vessel will be moved downward to the lower position due to gravitational force only. When the stainless steel vessel at the lower position, the suction pump will be stopped to drain the mercury liquid from the vessel and at the same time the discharge pump will be operated supplying mercury liquid to the vessel, the result is the stainless steel vessel will move upward due to buoyancy force exerted on object which will be transmitted to the cover that is strongly welded to the top of the vessel.

TECHNICAL FIELD
INVENTION RELATES TO RECIPROCATING ENGINES, IN WHICH THERE IS A BUOYANT OBJECT IN A CLOSED VESSEL, THAT CAN BY ITS GRAVITATIONAL WEIGHT AND BY ITS OPPOSITE BUOYANT FORCE PROVIDE POWER TO CRANKSHAFT

IN RESPONSE TO DIMINISHING SUPPLIES OF FOSSIL FUELS, AND IN ORDER TO MI IMIZE THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF PRODUCING ENERGY, ALTERNATIVE SOURCES OF ENERGY ARE PRESENTLY BEING DEVELOPED INCLUDING WIND POWER, WAVES, GEOTHERMAL SOURCES, SOLAR POWER AND NUCLEAR FUSION
DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION THE GREEK SCIENTIST ARCHIMEDES DISCOVERED THE FOLLOWING PRINCIPLE: AN OBJECT IS IMMERSED IN A FLUID IS BUOYED UP BY A FORCE EQUAL TO THE WEIGHT OF THE FLUID DISPLACED BY THE OBJECT. ARCHIMEDES'S PRINCIPLE APPLIES TO OBJECT OF ALL DENSITIES. THERE ARE THREE CASES THAT COULD OCCUR WHEN WE IMMERSE AN OBJECT IN FLUID AS THE FOLLOWING:
F THE DENSITY OF THE OBJECT IS GREATER THAN THAT OF THE FLUID, THE OBJECT WILL SINK.
X-IF THE DENSITY OF THE OBJECT IS EQUAL TO THAT OF THE FLUID; THE OBJECT WILL
NEITHER SINK NOR FLOAT.
V-IF THE DENSITY OF THE OBJECT IS LESS THAN THAT OF THE FLUID, THE OBJECT WILL
FLOAT.
- MY INVENTION DISCUSSED THE ABOVE THIRD CASE WITH MERCURY AS IMMERSED FLUID AND AN OBJECT, WHICH HAS RELATIVELY LARGE VOLUME TO MASS RATIO. THE PURPOSE OF CHOOSING MERCURY IS THAT MERCURY HAS THE LARGEST DENSITY BETWEEN LIQUIDS, SO IF WE IMMERSED THE OBJECT IN MERCURY FLUID, THE OBJECT WILL FLOAT ON
MERCURY WITH VERY LITTLE SUBMERGED OBJECT VOLUME BUT WE GAIN BUOYANT FORCE BY THE SUBMERGED VOLUME OF OBJECT ACTING ON THE OBJECT IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION AND EQUAL TO THE WEIGHT OF THE OBJECT.
