Description

A DEVICE FOR READING A PLURALITY OF CHARACTERS
Description
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a device for reading a plurality of characters on a spreadsheet.
Background Art
[2] There are many devices for aiding a reader to read texts or characters existed
nowadays. Some devices are embedded along with the book and some devices are detached and portable.
[3] WO98020446 prior art document disclosed a method for recording a selected
sequence of characters with the aid of pen, the latter is passed over the sequence of characters and a plurality of images, whose contents partially overlap, are recorded simultaneously with the aid of a light-sensitive sensor with a two dimensional sensor surface. The recorded images are put together, horizontally as well as vertically, into an image. Subsequently, the characters in the composite image are identified and stored in the pen with the aid of a predetermined character code format. The putting- together, the character identification and the storing are carried out with the aid of a signal processing unit. By the method and the pen compensation is obtained for different speeds of movement and different angles of rotation of the pen.
[4] Another prior art document WO0101332 disclosed a reading for reading text has an elongate casing with a reading opening formed in one end thereof, a printed circuit board which is arranged inside the casing hght-emitting diodes arranged inside the reading opening and adapted to illuminate the text that is to be read, and a light- sensitive sensor arranged inside the reading opening and adapted to read the illuminated text. The printed circuit board has an end portion at said one end of the casing. The end portion essentially corresponds to the form of the casing. The light- emitting diodes and the light-sensitive sensor are arranged on said end portion.
[5] The above prior art documents are addressing the needs for reading Roman text only, thereby there is a need in the art for reading, reciting and translating characters which comprises any form of text besides the Roman or images.
Summary of the invention
[6] It is an object of the present invention to provide a device for reading characters on a sheet.
[7] It is another object of the present invention to provide a device for reading coded characters on a sheet. [8] It is yet another object of the present invention to provide a device for scanning the coded characters and then presenting the output.
[9] It is yet another object of the present invention to provide a device for scanning the coded Arabic texts and then reciting the texts.
[10] These and other object of the present invention to provide a device 10 for reading a character comprising: a sensor; a central processing unit; wherein the sensor attaching the central processing unit; an output presentation unit attaching the central processing unit; a body 12 for housing; and a control button 22 fixed on the body 12; wherein a central processing unit is preconfigured with a set of instructions for processing inputs from the sensor and the control button 22 and then producing desirable output at the output presentation unit.
