Abstract

A particulate filter device comprises a housing (G) and a particulate filter (F) accommodated therein. Vorzugsweise sind dabei die Einlasskappe und die Auslasskappe an ihren dem Zentralabschnitt zugewandten Enden mit je einem auswärts ragenden Umfangsringflansch versehen. Ebenso ist der Zentralabschnitt an seinen oder in der Nähe seiner axialen Enden mit je einem auswärts ragenden Umfangsringflansch versehen. Durch Verdrehen der Spannschrauben 18 können die Spannringe 10 in Umfangsrichtung zusammengezogen bzw. wieder geöffnet werden. Durch die erfindungsgemässe Verbindung der einzelnen Teile des Gehäuses G mittels Spannringen und passend geformten Umfangsringflanschen an den Gehäuseteilen wird mit einfachsten Mitteln eine dichte Verbindung der Gehäuseteile erreicht, die auch grossen Temperaturschwankungen standhält und wobei auf spezielle Dichtungsmittel verzichtet werden kann.
