The polymer has a weight average molecular weight of 50000-350000 and a dispersion index of 1.2-3.0. The fibre for cigarette is prepared by melt spinning technology with using the raw material. A preparation method of the biodegradable cigarette filter tip stick by using the fibre for cigarette with fixed shape and a cigarette product provided with the filter are disclosed. The cigarette filter has the same performance with the common cigarette filter. The waste cigarette filter tip dropped by a smoker is decomposed in short time in the natural environment. The cigarette filter can meet needs in cigarette manufacture and meantime can settle the problem of the environment pollution caused by cigarette waste.
