Description
이하의 설명은 무선으로 전력을 협력적으로 송수신하는 방법 및 장치에 대한 것이다.
일반적으로 휴대폰, 노트북 등의 단말 장치를 충전하기 위해서는 단말을 충전기에 연결하거나, USB 충전 캐이블을 통해 유선으로 연결하여야 한다.
다만, 상술한 바와 같은 유선 충전 방식은 휴대 단말 장치의 활용 범위에 제한을 주게 되며, 최근 스마트폰 등 정보통신 장치의 발전에 따라 사용자가 어디에서든 무선을 통해 단말을 충전할 수 있는 기술에 대한 요구가 증가하고 있다.
도 1은 일반적인 무선 충전 개념을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
도 1에 도시된 바와 같이, 일반적인 무선충전 시스템은 전자기 발생부(200)와 단말(100)로 구성될 수 있다.

이하에서는 무선 통신 시스템에서 단말에 데이터 등을 전송하는 노드들(AP, 팸토 기지국, 중계기, WPAN, 매크로 기지국 등)을 이용하여 단말이 효율적으로 무선 충전을 수행하기 위한 방법 및 이를 위한 장치를 제안하고자 한다.
상술한 바와 같은 과제를 해결하기 위한 본 발명의 일 측면에서는 무선통신 시스템에서 단말에 무선으로 전력을 전송하는 방법에 있어서, 복수의 노드들 중 특정 단말에 전력 전송 신호를 전송할 하나 이상의 노드를 결정하는 단계; 상기 하나 이상의 노드 사이 상기 전력 전송 신호의 위상 동기를 맞추는 단계; 및 상기 특정 단말에게 상기 하나 이상의 노드가 상기 위상 동기가 맞춰진 전력 전송 신호를 전송하는 단계를 포함하는 무선 전력 전송 방법을 제안한다.

한편, 상기 하나 이상의 노드는 상기 특정 단말이 휴지 모드(idle mode)인 기간에 상기 위상 동기가 맞춰진 전력 전송 신호를 전송할 수 있으며, 이 경우 상기 복수의 노드들 중 하나 이상과 상기 특정 단말은 상기 특정 단말의 수면 모드(sleep mode), 상기 휴지 모드, 및 활성 모드(active mode) 중 하나 이상의 모드 변환 시점에 대한 정보를 교환할 수 있다.
또한, 상기 무선 통신 시스템은, 상기 전력 전송 신호 전송을 위한 제 1 시간 구간 및 데이터를 포함한 상기 전력 전송 신호 이외의 신호 전송을 위한 제 2 시간 구간을 포함하는 프레임 구조를 이용하여 통신을 수행할 수 있으며, 이때 상기 제 2 시간 구간은 상향링크 신호 수신을 위한 시간 구간 및 하향링크 신호 전송을 위한 시간 구간을 포함할 수도 있다.
또한, 상기 무선 통신 시스템은, 하향링크 대역폭 중 상기 전력 전송 신호 전송을 위한 서브밴드(subband)를 포함하는 프레임 구조를 이용하여 통신을 수행할 수도 있다.
한편, 상술한 바와 같은 과제를 해결하기 위한 본 발명의 다른 일 측면에서는 무선통신 시스템에서 단말이 무선으로 전력을 수신하는 방법에 있어서, 복수의 노드들 중 결정된 하나 이상의 노드로부터 위상 동기가 맞춰진 전력 전송 신호들을 수신하는 단계; 및 상기 전력 전송 신호들을 이용하여 무선 충전을 수행하는 단계를 포함하는 무선 전력 수신 방법을 제안한다.
이때, 상기 복수의 노드들은 상기 전력 전송 신호 및 데이터를 상기 특정 단말에 전송할 수 있는 AP(Access Point), 팸토 기지국(Femto BS), 중계기(Relay), WPAN (Wireless Personal Area Network) 및 매크로 기지국(Macro BS) 중 하나 이상을 포함할 수 있다.
또한, 상기 특정 단말이 상기 전력 전송 신호를 요청하는 요청 신호를 상기 복수의 노드들 중 하나 이상에 전송하는 단계를 더 포함할 수 있다.
또한, 상기 특정 단말은 상기 하나 이상의 노드로부터 상기 특정 단말이 휴지 모드(idle mode)인 기간에 상기 위상 동기가 맞춰진 전력 전송 신호를 수신할 수 있으며, 이 경우 상기 복수의 노드들 중 하나 이상과 상기 특정 단말은 상기 특정 단말의 수면 모드(sleep mode), 상기 휴지 모드, 및 활성 모드(active mode) 중 하나 이상의 모드 변환 시점에 대한 정보를 교환할 수 있다.
아울러, 상기 무선 통신 시스템은, 상기 전력 전송 신호 수신을 위한 제 1 시간 구간 및 데이터를 포함한 상기 전력 전송 신호 이외의 신호 수신을 위한 제 2 시간 구간을 포함하는 프레임 구조를 이용하여 통신을 수행할 수 있으며, 이때 상기 제 2 시간 구간은 상향링크 신호 전송을 위한 시간 구간 및 하향링크 신호 수신을 위한 시간 구간을 포함할 수 있으며, 이와 달리 상기 무선 통신 시스템은, 하향링크 대역폭 중 상기 전력 전송 신호 수신을 위한 서브밴드(subband)를 포함하는 프레임 구조를 이용하여 통신을 수행할 수 있다.
한편, 상술한 바와 같은 과제를 해결하기 위한 본 발명의 다른 일 측면에서는 무선통신 시스템에서 단말에 무선으로 전력을 전송하는 무선 전력 전송 장치에 있어서, 무선 전력 전송 장치간 특정 단말에 전력 전송 신호를 전송할 하나 이상의 무선 전력 전송 장치를 결정하고, 상기 하나 이상의 무선 전력 전송 장치 사이 상기 전력 전송 신호의 위상 동기를 맞추도록 제어하는 프로세서; 및 상기 특정 단말에게 상기 하나 이상의 무선 전력 전송 장치간 위상 동기가 맞춰진 전력 전송 신호를 전송하는 전송 모듈을 포함하는 무선 전력 전송 장치들 중 결정되는 무선 전력 전송 장치를 제안한다.
또한, 상술한 바와 같은 과제를 해결하기 위한 본 발명의 또 다른 일 측면에서는 무선통신 시스템에서 무선으로 전력을 수신하여 충전을 수행하는 단말 장치에 있어서, 복수의 노드들 중 결정된 하나 이상의 노드로부터 위상 동기가 맞춰진 전력 전송 신호들을 수신하는 수신 모듈; 및 상기 전력 전송 신호들을 이용하여 무선 충전을 수행하는 충전 모듈을 포함하는 단말 장치를 제안한다.
상술한 바와 같은 실시형태들에 따를 경우 무선 통신 시스템에서 단말에 데이터 등을 전송하는 노드들(AP, 팸토 기지국, 중계기, WPAN, 매크로 기지국 등)을 이용하여 단말이 효율적으로 무선 충전을 수행할 수 있다.

이하, 본 발명에 따른 바람직한 실시 형태를 첨부된 도면을 참조하여 상세하게 설명한다. 첨부된 도면과 함께 이하에 개시될 상세한 설명은 본 발명의 예시적인 실시형태를 설명하고자 하는 것이며, 본 발명이 실시될 수 있는 유일한 실시형태를 나타내고자 하는 것이 아니다.
이하의 상세한 설명은 본 발명의 완전한 이해를 제공하기 위해서 구체적 세부사항을 포함한다. 그러나, 당업자는 본 발명이 이러한 구체적 세부사항 없이도 실시될 수 있음을 안다. 몇몇 경우, 본 발명의 개념이 모호해지는 것을 피하기 위하여 공지의 구조 및 장치는 생략되거나, 각 구조 및 장치의 핵심기능을 중심으로 한 블록도 형식으로 도시된다. 또한, 본 명세서 전체에서 동일한 구성요소에 대해서는 동일한 도면 부호를 사용하여 설명한다.
상술한 바와 같이 이하에서는 무선 통신 시스템에서 단말에 데이터 등을 전송하는 노드들(AP, 팸토 기지국, 중계기, WPAN, 매크로 기지국 등)을 이용하여 단말이 효율적으로 무선 충전을 수행하기 위한 방법 및 이를 위한 장치에 대해 설명한다. 이하의 설명에서 무선 충전은 상술한 노드들이 단말과 데이터 등을 전송할 수 있는 거리만큼 멀어도, 단말이 무선 충전 신호를 통해 효율적으로 무선 충전을 수행할 수 있는 것을 가정한다. 이는 무선 충전이 가능한 단말 주위에 다수의 무선충전을 지원하는 노드들이 존재하며, 이와 같은 다수의 무선충전 노드들이 협력적으로 특정 단말에 무선 충전 신호를 전송함으로써 가능할 수 있다.
도 2는 본 발명의 일 실시형태에 따른 협력적 무선 충전의 개념을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
도 2에 도시된 바와 같이 본 발명의 일 실시형태에서는 복수의 노드들이 특정 단말에게 협력적으로 무선 충전 신호 또는 무선 전력 전송 신호를 전송하여, 상기 노드들의 데이터 전송 거리에 준하는 무선 전력 전송 거리를 확보하는 것을 제안한다. 이때, 복수의 노드들 전체가 특정 단말에 무선 전력 전송 신호를 전송하는데 참여할 수도 있으며, 또한 복수의 노드들 중 특정 노드는 데이터 전송을 수행하고 데이터 전송을 수행하지 않는 노드들 중 결정된 하나 이상의 노드들이 단말에 무선 전력 전송 신호를 전송할 수도 있다. 이때 복수의 노드들이 특정 단말에 전송하는 무선 전력 전송 신호로는 다양한 파형을 고려해 볼 수 있다.
가장 간단한 형태로서 상기 무선 전력 전송 신호를 사인파(sine wave) 또는 단일 톤(tine) 신호로 가정할 수 있다. 또한, 상기 무선 전력 전송 신호를 단말과 무선 충전 기능을 가진 노드들 간에 미리 약속된 특정한 파형을 사용할 수도 있다. 즉, 채널의 특성에 따른 미리 약속된 파형으로서, 코히어런트 시간(Coherent time), 멀티패스 패이딩(multi-path fading) 등 채널의 특성을 반영하는 신호 파형을 디자인 할 수 있다. 이와 같이 디자인된 신호 파형을 채널 사용 통신 주체들끼리 약속하여 사용할 수 있으며, 이 정보를 주고 받는 과정을 시그널링(signaling)화 할 수 있다.
한편, 상기 무선 전력 전송 신호는 통신 방식의 특성에 따른 미리 약속된 파형일 수 있다. 예를 들어, UWB(Ultra Wide Band)와 같이 펄스(pulse) 신호로 통신을 하는 경우, OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Divisional Multiplexing) 처럼 대역(band)을 여러 개로 나누어 통신을 하는 경우 등, 통신 방식의 특성을 반영하는 신호 파형을 디자인 할 수 있다. 이와 같이 디자인된 신호파형을 미리 시그널링을 통해 통신 주체들 사이에 주고 받을 수 있다.
한편, 상기 무선 전력 전송 신호는 다른 기기들이 송수신하는 데이터를 파형으로 하는 방법 역시 가능하다.
특정 AP가 데이터를 전송할때, 주변의 AP들은 이를 도와 같은 데이터를 전송하여, 수신단의 다이버시티(diversity)를 높이는 동시에, 수신 단말이 아닌 단말들은 이 신호를 받아 전력을 수신받도록 다지인될 수도 있다.
한편, 상술한 바와 같은 본 발명의 일 실시형태에 따른 협력적 무선 전력 신호 전송을 구현하기 위한 위상 동기 맞춤에 대해 설명한다.
도 3은 본 발명의 일 실시형태에 따라 협력적으로 무선 전력 전송 신호를 전송하기 위해 위상 동기를 맞추는 개념을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
상술한 바와 같이 본 실시형태에서는 무선 충전 기능을 제공하는 단말 주위에 무선 충전 기능을 제공하는 복수의 노드들이 존재하는 것을 가정한다. 도 3은 설명의 편의를 위한 무선 전력 신호가 단순히 사인파인 경우를 가정하여 도시하였으나, 무선 전력 신호는 상술한 바와 같이 다양한 형태로 디자인될 수 있다.
본 발명의 바람직한 일 실시형태에서는 이와 같은 복수의 노드들 중 무선 전력 신호 전송에 참여하는 노드들간 위상 동기를 맞추어 단말 측면에서 무선 전력 신호가 도 3에 도시된 바와 같이 증폭되어 수신될 수 있도록 설정하는 것을 제안한다. 즉, 복수의 노드로부터 전송된 무선 전력 신호의 위상이 일치하는 경우 보강 간섭(constructive interfere)가 발생하여, 무선 전력 신호가 증폭되기 때문에 무선 충전을 위한 커버리지를 향상시킬 수 있다.
상술한 바와 같이 무선 전력 전송에 참여하는 노드들간 위상 동기를 맞추기 위해 단말이 상기 노드들과 순차적으로 위상 동기를 맞추는 동작을 수행할 수 있다. 또 다른 실시형태에서는 상술한 바와 같이 무선 전력 전송에 참여하는 노드들간 위상 동기를 맞추기 위해 복수의 노드들 중 특정한 하나의 노드가 다른 노드들과 위상 동기를 맞추고, 이와 같이 위상 동기가 맞춰진 무선 전력 전송 신호를 단말에 전송할 수 있다. 또한, 후술하는 바와 같이 노드들이 단말에 무선 전력 신호를 전송하는 시점을 단말의 특정 모드 시간과 맞추기 위한 타이밍 정보 시그널링이 필요할 수 있다.
한편, 상술한 바와 같이 본 발명에서 무선 충전 기능을 제공하는 노드들은 무선 충전을 위한 파형을 전송하는 기능뿐만 아니라 일반적인 데이터 통신을 수행할 수 있는 것을 가정한다. 이에 따라 복수의 노드들은 시간축에서 상호간에 데이터 전송과 무선 충전을 위한 협력을 수행할 수 있다.
도 4 내지 도 6은 본 발명의 일 실시형태에 따라 복수의 노드들이 시간축에서 단말에 무선 전력 신호 및 데이터를 전송하기 위해 협력을 수행하는 방식을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
먼저, 도 4 내지 도 6은 무선 충전 기능을 제공하는 노드가 AP 1내지 3인 경우를 가정한다. 본 실시형태에서 단말은 도 4에 도시된 바와 같이 복수의 AP들로부터 연속적인 시간 동안 전력 신호를 연속적으로 수신할 수 있다. 즉, 주위에 복수의 AP가 단말에게 시간을 나누어 순차적으로 전력 신호를 전송할 수 있다. 한편, 특정 AP가 전력을 전송 중일때는 자신의 영역 아래있는 단말에게 데이터 서비스를 제공하거나, 여려개의 AP 중 일부가 전력을 전송하고 나머지는 데이터를 전송할 수 있다. 도 5에서는 AP2 및 AP3이 데이터를 전송하고 있는 경우, AP1이 단말에 무선 전력을 전송하는 것을 도시하고 있다. 또한, 도 6에서는 AP1과 AP2가 무선 전력 전송을 수행하고 있는 경우 AP3이 자신의 커버리지 내의 단말에게 데이터 서비스를 제공하는 것을 도시하고 있다.
한편, 본 발명의 일 실시형태에서는 무선 전력 전송 기능을 제공하는 노드들이 단말의 요청을 받아 무선 전력 신호를 전송하는 방식을 제안한다.
도 7은 본 발명의 일 실시형태에 따라 단말의 무선 전력 전송 요청을 수신하고, 이에 따라 무선 전력 신호를 전송하는 방식을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
도 7에 도시된 바와 같이 본 발명의 일 실시형태에서는 단말이 자신의 베터리 상태를 보고 복수의 노드들 또는 복수의 노드들 중 특정한 한 노드에 무선 전력 전송을 요청하는 신호를 전송하는 것을 제안한다. 이와 같은 무선 전력 요청 신호는 단말의 피드백 신호에 포함되어 전송될 수도, 데이터에 피기백(piggyback)된 형태로도 전송될 수 있다. 만일, 단말이 상술한 무선 전력 전송 요청 신호를 피드백 신호의 형태로 전송하는 경우, 이는 피드백 전송과 마찬가지로 주기적으로 전송될 수도, 필요할때만 전송될 수도 있다.
이와 같은 무선 전력 전송 요청 신호를 수신한 노드는 해당 요청 신호의 우선순위에 따라 요청을 처리할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 무선 전력 전송을 위한 특정 서비스에 가입한 사용자의 단말이 무선 전력 전송을 요청하는 경우, 이를 일반적인 요청에 비해 우선적으로 처리하도록 설정될 수 있다. 또한, 주기적인 요청에 비해, 특정 이벤트에서 전송된 요청의 우선순위를 더 높게 설정할 수 있다. 아울러, 단말의 베터리에 남은 전력의 정도에 따라 우선순위를 설정할 수도 있다.
만일, 우선순위가 높은 무선 전력 전송 요청을 수신한 경우, 해당 노드는 무선 전력 전송에 참여할 수 있는 다른 모드들과 해당 요청 정보를 공유할 수 있으며, 이를 위한 해당 단말 식별 정보 등을 포함하여 다른 노드들에 전달할 수 있다. 만일, 우선순위가 낮은 무선 전력 전송 요청을 수신하는 경우, 다른 단말들에게 전력 전송/데이터 전송을 수행하고 남은 자원을 이용하여 해당 단말에 무선 전력 전송을 수행할 수 있다.
상술한 바와 같이 본 발명에서는 무선 전력 신호를 송수신하되, 해당 단말/노드들은 일반적인 데이터 통신 역시 동시에 수행할 수 있는 것을 가정한다. 따라서, 일반적인 데이터 통신에서 단말이 휴지 모드(idle mode)로 동작하는 기간에 상술한 무선 전력 신호를 수신받는 경우 더 효율적으로 통신을 수행할 수 있을 것이다.
도 8은 본 발명의 일 실시형태에 따라 단말의 휴지 모드 시간과 무선 전력 신호 전송 시간을 맞추는 방식을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
일반적인 통신 시스템에서 단말은 기지국 또는 중간 노드들과의 데이터 교환 정보 등에 따라 수면 모드(sleep mode)/휴지 모드(idle mode)/활성 모드(active mode)를 전환할 수 있다. 상기 모드들 중 휴지 모드로 동작하는 단말은 기지국 또는 중간 노드들과의 데이터 송수신을 최소화하며, 전력 소모를 줄이는 기간이기 때문에 본 발명의 일 실시형태에서는 이와 같이 단말이 휴지 모드로 동작하는 기간을 무선 전력 신호를 수신하는 기간과 일치시켜 통신의 효율성을 확보하는 것을 제안한다. 이를 위해 본 실시형태에서는 단말의 모드 전환 타이밍과 무선 충전 기능을 수행하는 노드들의 무선 전력 신호 전송 타이밍을 맞추기 위한 시그널링을 수행할 수 있다.
만일, 무선 충전 기능을 수행하는 노드, 예를 들어 AP의 무선 전력 신호 및 데이터 전송 주기에 맞추어 단말이 모드를 전송하는 경우는 다음과 같이 동작할 수 있다. AP의 전력/데이터 주기에 맞춰서, 전력수신이 필요 없는 단말은 수면 모드로 동작할 수 있다. AP의 전력/데이터 주기에 맞춰, 전력수신이 필요한 단말은 데이터와 전력수신을 반복할 수 있다. AP의 전력/데이터 주기가 바뀔경우 단말에게 시그널링을 하여 단말이 이에 주시를 맞출 수 있도록 할 수 있다.
한편, 도 8에 도시된 바와 같이 AP의 데이터/무선 전력 전송 주시가 미리 정해져 있는 경우, 단말은 무선 전력 전송 구간에서는 무선 전력을 수신하며, 데이터 전송 구간에서 수신할 데이터의 유무에 따라 수면 모드로 동작하거나 데이터를 수신하도록 설정될 수도 있다.
한편, AP는 일정 시간동안 바뀌는 주기/전력전송 시간에 대한 정보를 계속 방송(broadcast)함으로써 주기적으로 깨어나는 단말이 이를 듣고 주기를 맞출 수 있도록 할 수 있다. 상술한 바와 같은 주기 정보는 방송 채널을 통해 전송되는 시스템 정보, 또는 일반적인 제어 채널/데이터 채널에 포함되어 전송될 수 있다.
한편, 상술한 바와 같은 무선 충전 기능을 제공하는 시스템에서 사용 가능한 프레임 구조는 다음과 같을 수 있다.
도 9는 본 발명의 일 실시형태에 따라 무선 전력 전송을 위한 시간 영역이 별도로 설정되어 있는 프레임 구조의 일례를 도시한 도면이다.
도 9의 (1) 내지 (3)은 모두 TDD(Time Divisional Duplex) 시스템과 같이 상향링크 시간 구간과 하향링크 시간 구간이 별도로 존재하는 시스템에서 상술한 무선 전력 전송 구간을 별도로 설정하는 경우의 프레임 구조를 도시한 도면이다. 도 9의 (1)에 도시된 바와 같이 무선 전력 전송을 위한 시간 영역은 하향링크/상향링크 구간 앞에 위치할 수도, 도 9의 (2)에 도시된 바와 같이 하향링크 구간과 상향링크 구간 사이에 위치할 수도, 도 9의 (3)에 도시된 바와 같이 하향링크/상향링크 구간 이후에 위치할 수도 있다. 즉, TDD 시스템에서 무선 프레임은 3개의 시간 구간으로 구분될 수 있다.
도 9의 경우 TDD 시스템을 예로 들어 설명하였으나, FDD(Frequency Divisional Duplex) 시스템에서는 상향링크/하향링크 구간이 시간 영역에서 구분되지 않기 때문에, 프레임 구조는 상향링크/하향링크 데이터 전송 구간과 무선 전력 전송 구간으로 구분되는 2개 시간 영역을 포함할 수 있다.
도 10은 본 발명의 일 실시형태에 따라 무선 전력 전송을 위한 주파수 영역이 별도로 설정되어 있는 프레임 구조의 일례를 도시한 도면이다.
도 10은 상술한 무선 전력 전송 신호가 특정 주파수 서브밴드(subband)에 할당된 전력 전송 대역을 통해 전송되는 형태를 도시하고 있다. 단말은 이와 같이 지정된 서브밴드를 통해 수신된 무선 전력 전송 신호를 통해 자신의 베터리를 충전할 수 있다.
한편, 본 발명의 일 실시형태에서는 도 9 및 도 10에 도시된 시간 영역 구분/주파수 영역 구분을 혼합하여 디자인된 프레임 구조를 이용하는 것을 제안한다. 즉, 무선 충전 기능을 제공하는 노드들은 특정 시간/주파수 영역에 무선 전력 신호를 전송할 수 있으며, 전력이 필요한 단말들은 채널 상태가 좋은 자원 영역을 통해 충전 신호를 수신할 수 있다.
이하에서는 상술한 바와 같은 협력적 무선 충전 기능을 수행하기 위한 장치 구성에 대해 살펴본다.

구체적으로 도 11에서 RF 유닛(53)은 복수의 노드들로부터 신호를 수신하기 위한 수신 모듈(미도시) 및 복수의 노드들에 신호를 전송하기 위한 전송 모듈(미도시)로 구분될 수 있다. 본 실시형태에 따른 단말 장치(50)의 RF 유닛(53)은 복수의 노드들 중 데이터 전송을 수행하지 않는 하나 이상의 노드로부터 위상 동기가 맞춰진 전력 전송 신호들을 수신하는 수신 모듈을 포함할 수 있다. 또한, 본 실시형태에 따른 단말 장치(50)는 상술한 전력 전송 신호들을 이용하여 무선 충전을 수행하는 충전 모듈을 포함할 수 있으며, 도 11은 이와 같은 충전 모듈의 일례로서 유도 전류 생성부(56)를 도시하고 있다. 이와 같이 유동 전류 생성부(56)에서 생성된 유도 전류는 단말 장치(50)의 베터리 모듈(54)에 공급되어 충전이 수행될 수 있다. 이와 같은 동작은 단말 장치(50)의 프로세서(51)에 의해 제어될 수 있다. 또한, 본 발명의 일 실시형태에 따른 단말 장치(50)는 사용자 인터페이스 유닛(55)을 통해 사용자가 직접 입력한 무선 충전 요청 신호에 따라 무선 충전 노드들에 전력 전송을 요청할 수도 있다. 또한, 단말 장치(50)는 메모리(52)에 필요한 정보를 저장할 수 있다.
도 12는 본 발명의 일 실시형태에 따른 무선 전력 전송 장치 구조를 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
도 12에 도시된 바와 같이 본 발명의 일 실시형태에 따른 무선 전력 전송 장치는 전송 모듈(130), 수신 모듈(110), 프로세서(120), 메모리(140) 등을 포함할 수 있다. 구체적으로 본 실시형태에 따른 무선 전력 전송 장치의 프로세서(120)는 무선 전력 전송 장치간 특정 단말에 전력 전송 신호를 전송할 하나 이상의 무선 전력 전송 장치를 결정하고, 상기 하나 이상의 무선 전력 전송 장치 사이 상기 전력 전송 신호의 위상 동기를 맞추도록 제어하는 기능을 수행할 수 있다. 이와 같은 프로세서(120)의 제어 하에 무선 전력 전송 장치의 전송 모듈(130)은 특정 단말에게 하나 이상의 무선 전력 전송 장치간 위상 동기가 맞춰진 전력 전송 신호를 전송할 수 있다.
한편, 무선 전력 전송 장치의 수신 모듈(130)은 단말로부터 무선 전력 전송 요청 신호 등을 수신할 수 있으며, 메모리(140)에 필요한 정보를 저장할 수 있다.
상술한 실시형태들에서 설명한 무선 충전 기술은 각 실시형태간 조합된 형태로 수행될 수도 있다. 또한, 복수의 노드들간 협력적으로 무선 전력 신호를 전송할때, 데이터 서비스를 수신하는 특정 단말은 자신에게 강한 간섭을 노드(들)의 전력 신호를 특정 노드에 알려, 간섭을 방지하는 수단을 결합하여 사용할 수 있다. 한편, 상술한 실시형태들에서는 무선 충전 기능을 제공하는 노드들이 데이터 서비스 제공 능력도 동시에 보유하고, 데이터를 전송하지 않는 노드들이 무선 전력 신호를 전송하는 것을 가정하여 설명하였으나, 본 발명은 특정 노드들이 데이터와 무선 전력 신호를 동시에 전송하는 것을 배제하지 않는다.
상술한 바와 같이 개시된 본 발명의 바람직한 실시형태에 대한 상세한 설명은 당업자가 본 발명을 구현하고 실시할 수 있도록 제공되었다. 상기에서는 본 발명의 바람직한 실시 형태를 참조하여 설명하였지만, 해당 기술 분야의 숙련된 당업자는 하기의 특허 청구의 범위에 기재된 본 발명의 사상 및 영역으로부터 벗어나지 않는 범위 내에서 본 발명을 다양하게 수정 및 변경시킬 수 있음을 이해할 수 있을 것이다.
따라서, 본 발명은 여기에 나타난 실시형태들에 제한되려는 것이 아니라, 여기서 개시된 원리들 및 신규한 특징들과 일치하는 최광의 범위를 부여하려는 것이다.
상술한 바와 같은 협력적 무선 충전 기술은 기존 데이터 통신과 새로운 무선 전력 충전 기능을 동시에 제공할 수 있어 다양한 이동 기기들 및 이를 지원하는 무선 노드들에 적용될 수 있다.
Claims (19)
- 무선통신 시스템에서 단말에 무선으로 전력을 전송하는 방법에 있어서,복수의 노드들 중 특정 단말에 전력 전송 신호를 전송할 하나 이상의 노드를 결정하는 단계;상기 하나 이상의 노드 사이 상기 전력 전송 신호의 위상 동기를 맞추는 단계; 및상기 특정 단말에게 상기 하나 이상의 노드가 상기 위상 동기가 맞춰진 전력 전송 신호를 전송하는 단계를 포함하는, 무선 전력 전송 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 복수의 노드들은 상기 전력 전송 신호 및 데이터를 상기 특정 단말에 전송할 수 있는 AP(Access Point), 팸토 기지국(Femto BS), 중계기(Relay), WPAN (Wireless Personal Area Network) 및 매크로 기지국(Macro BS) 중 하나 이상을 포함하는, 무선 전력 전송 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 복수의 노드들 중 하나 이상이 상기 특정 단말로부터 상기 전력 전송 신호를 요청하는 요청 신호를 수신하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 무선 전력 전송 방법.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 복수의 노드들 중 하나 이상은 상기 요청 신호의 우선순위에 따라 상기 특정 단말에 상기 전력 전송 신호를 전송하는, 무선 전력 전송 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 하나 이상의 노드는 상기 특정 단말이 휴지 모드(idle mode)인 기간에 상기 위상 동기가 맞춰진 전력 전송 신호를 전송하는, 무선 전력 전송 방법.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 복수의 노드들 중 하나 이상과 상기 특정 단말은 상기 특정 단말의 수면 모드(sleep mode), 상기 휴지 모드, 및 활성 모드(active mode) 중 하나 이상의 모드 변환 시점에 대한 정보를 교환하는, 무선 전력 전송 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 무선 통신 시스템은,상기 전력 전송 신호 전송을 위한 제 1 시간 구간 및 데이터를 포함한 상기 전력 전송 신호 이외의 신호 전송을 위한 제 2 시간 구간을 포함하는 프레임 구조를 이용하여 통신을 수행하는, 무선 전력 전송 방법.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 시간 구간은 상향링크 신호 수신을 위한 시간 구간 및 하향링크 신호 전송을 위한 시간 구간을 포함하는, 무선 전력 전송 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 무선 통신 시스템은,하향링크 대역폭 중 상기 전력 전송 신호 전송을 위한 서브밴드(subband)를 포함하는 프레임 구조를 이용하여 통신을 수행하는, 무선 전력 전송 방법.
- 무선통신 시스템에서 단말이 무선으로 전력을 수신하는 방법에 있어서,복수의 노드들 중 결정된 하나 이상의 노드로부터 위상 동기가 맞춰진 전력 전송 신호들을 수신하는 단계; 및상기 전력 전송 신호들을 이용하여 무선 충전을 수행하는 단계를 포함하는, 무선 전력 수신 방법.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,상기 복수의 노드들은 상기 전력 전송 신호 및 데이터를 상기 특정 단말에 전송할 수 있는 AP(Access Point), 팸토 기지국(Femto BS), 중계기(Relay), WPAN (Wireless Personal Area Network) 및 매크로 기지국(Macro BS) 중 하나 이상을 포함하는, 무선 전력 수신 방법.

- 제 13 항에 있어서,상기 복수의 노드들 중 하나 이상과 상기 특정 단말은 상기 특정 단말의 수면 모드(sleep mode), 상기 휴지 모드, 및 활성 모드(active mode) 중 하나 이상의 모드 변환 시점에 대한 정보를 교환하는, 무선 전력 수신 방법.

- 제 15 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 시간 구간은 상향링크 신호 전송을 위한 시간 구간 및 하향링크 신호 수신을 위한 시간 구간을 포함하는, 무선 전력 수신 방법.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,상기 무선 통신 시스템은,하향링크 대역폭 중 상기 전력 전송 신호 수신을 위한 서브밴드(subband)를 포함하는 프레임 구조를 이용하여 통신을 수행하는, 무선 전력 수신 방법.
- 무선통신 시스템에서 단말에 무선으로 전력을 전송하는 무선 전력 전송 장치에 있어서,무선 전력 전송 장치간 특정 단말에 전력 전송 신호를 전송할 하나 이상의 무선 전력 전송 장치를 결정하고, 상기 하나 이상의 무선 전력 전송 장치 사이 상기 전력 전송 신호의 위상 동기를 맞추도록 제어하는 프로세서; 및상기 특정 단말에게 상기 하나 이상의 무선 전력 전송 장치간 위상 동기가 맞춰진 전력 전송 신호를 전송하는 전송 모듈을 포함하는, 무선 전력 전송 장치.
- 무선통신 시스템에서 무선으로 전력을 수신하여 충전을 수행하는 단말 장치에 있어서,복수의 노드들 중 결정된 하나 이상의 노드로부터 위상 동기가 맞춰진 전력 전송 신호들을 수신하는 수신 모듈; 및상기 전력 전송 신호들을 이용하여 무선 충전을 수행하는 충전 모듈을 포함하는, 단말 장치.
