Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Nutzung der Abwärme von großen Verbrennungskraftmaschinen mit dem Ziel die Ausbeute an technischer Arbeit so zu erhöhen, dass diese Maschinen unabhängig vom Bedarf an Heiz- und Prozesswärme wirtschaftlich betrieben werden können. Das Ziel wird erreicht durch eine neuartige Kopplung des Verbrennungsmotors mit Gas- und Dampfturbinenkraftprozessen, gekennzeichnet dadurch, dass - unter Beachtung der Strömungsverluste - eine vollständige Nutzung des Druckgefälles des Motorabgases bis zum Umgebungsdruck und die Motor- und Ölkühlung unter Bildung von Sattdampf erfolgt, der durch das durch Expansion abgekühlte Abgas überhitzt und danach unter Abgabe von technischer Arbeit in einem Dampfkraftprozess expandiert und kondensiert wird.
