- DRS Dedicated Reference Signal
- a system having an extended antenna configuration may consider introducing a UE-specific reference signal, that is, a dedicated reference signal (DRS), to support data transmission through the added antenna.
- a UE-specific reference signal that is, a dedicated reference signal (DRS)
- the frequency shift means setting the start point of the CRS differently for each cell.
- Power boosting means power from another RE other than the RE allocated for the reference signal among the REs of one OFDM symbol.
- the DRS may be designed to have a different frequency interval from that of the CRS.
- the positions of the CRS and the DRS may overlap according to the above-described frequency shift of the CRS, and the power of the CRS may be overlapped. Boosting can adversely affect DRS transmission.
- the DRS and the CRS are designed to have different frequency intervals, it is preferable to design the two reference signals to be located in different OFDM symbols.
- the CRS is located in the first, second, fifth, eighth, ninth and twelfth OFDM symbols in the case of a normal CP, and the first, second, fourth, seventh, in the case of an extended CP. It is located in the eighth and tenth OFDM symbols.
- the DRS is a reference signal for data demodulation
- the DRS is located in an area to which a data channel is allocated.
- the first to third OFDM symbols (or first and second OFDM symbols) of one subframe are used for the PDCCH (control channel), and the PDSCH (data channel) from the second (or third) OFDM symbol to the last OFDM symbol. Is allocated for
- the DRS may be disposed at the following OFDM symbol positions.
- the channel estimation information of the RE to which the DRS is not allocated may be obtained by interpolation from the channel estimation information of the neighboring RE to which the DRS is assigned.
- each RS is preferably located at both ends of the data channel, i.e., the fourth and fourteenth (5th and 12th in the case of an extended CP) of one subframe. .

- CDM transmission using two OFDM symbols it is preferable that two OFDM symbols have a maximum of one OFDM symbol interval when adjacent or not adjacent to each other.
- CDM transmission using four OFDM symbols should be used in a situation where the channel does not change in time. In this case, CDM transmission can be performed using reference signals existing in the same frequency position and different OFDM symbols.
- the 90% coherent bandwidth B C, 90 in the frequency domain may be determined by Equation 1
- the 50% coherent bandwidth B C, 50 may be determined by Equation 2.
- Equations 1 and 2 ⁇ ⁇ is a root mean square (RMS) of a delay spread.
- ⁇ ⁇ is about 0.5 ms in an extended typical urban (eTU) channel environment.
- the 90% coherent bandwidth is about 10 kHz
- the 50% coherent bandwidth is about 100 kHz. Since the frequency bandwidth of one RE is 15 kHz, the 90% coherent bandwidth is about 1 RE interval and the 50% coherent bandwidth is about 6 RE intervals. Therefore, in order to perform interpolation of reference signals in channel estimation, the interval between reference signals should be less than 6 RE in the frequency domain and 1 RE interval in order to perform extrapolation.

- a structure for arranging signals can be considered.
- a reference signal may be located in the first, sixth, and eleventh REs (or the second, seventh, and twelfth REs) in the frequency domain in one OFDM symbol.
- Such a structure has the advantage of efficiently performing interpolation while using the reference signal efficiently, and since the 12th (or 1st) RE is within 90% coherent bandwidth with the 11th (or 2nd) RE, There is no significant difference in performance even if an extrapolated channel or a channel of an adjacent RE is copied.
- the DRS is transmitted using the same weight as the precoding weight used for data transmission, and the density of the reference signal may vary according to the number of transport layers (antenna ports).
- FIG. 7 is a diagram illustrating an example of an arrangement pattern of CRSs and DRSs in one resource block (14 OFDM symbols x 12 subcarriers) according to the design criteria described above.
- the CRS illustrated in FIG. 7 indicates all reference signal positions for supporting antenna port indexes 0 to 3, only some antenna ports may be used. For example, only the CRS for antenna port index 0-1 (2 transmit antennas) may be used, and only the CRS for antenna port index 0 (single transmit antenna) may be used.
- FIG. 7 (a) shows that all DRSs are arranged on 12 REs in one resource block

- the present invention is not limited thereto, and an appropriate DRS pattern may be used according to the number of transport layers.
- CSI-RS Channel Status Reference Signal
- a new reference signal for acquiring the status information is required. Since the above-mentioned CRS is a reference signal for antenna ports 0 to 3, a new reference signal capable of acquiring a channel state on the extended antenna port is required to be additionally designed.
- the reference signal (CSI-RS) designed to obtain the CSI may be designed to have a relatively low density compared to the conventional reference signal.
- the CSI-RS may be transmitted in a duty cycle of 2ms, 5ms, 10ms, 40ms, etc. in time, and an RS having a 6 RE or 12 RE interval may be transmitted on a frequency.
- the duty cycle refers to a time unit in which all reference signals for the antenna ports used for transmission can be obtained.
- the CSI-RS may be transmitted over the entire band on frequency.
- a reference signal for each antenna port may be transmitted on different subframes.
- the CSI-RS which can support all the antenna ports according to the extended transmission antenna within the duty cycle should be transmitted. For example, suppose there is a CSI-RS supporting eight antenna ports, the CSI-RS for the four antenna ports is transmitted in the first subframe, and the CSI-RS for the remaining four antenna ports is the second. It may be transmitted in a subframe. In this case, the first and second subframes may be consecutive subframes in time, or may be subframes having an arbitrary time interval (value less than a duty cycle).
- the CSI-RS may be located in an OFDM symbol in which the CRS is disposed. Specifically, the CRS is located in the first, second, fifth, eighth, ninth and twelfth OFDM symbols in the case of a normal CP, and the first, second, fourth, seventh, in the case of an extended CP. It is located in the eighth and tenth OFDM symbols.
- the CSI-RS excluding the first to third OFDM symbols in which the control channel (PDCCH) is located, the CSI-RS is located in the fifth, eighth, ninth, and twelfth OFDM symbols in the case of a normal CP.
- the 4th, 7th, 8th and 10th OFDM symbols may be located.

- the REs in which the CSI-RSs are arranged may be arranged at equal intervals in frequency.
- the reference signals may be arranged at 6 RE intervals (ie, 6 subcarrier intervals) in the frequency domain, and may be arranged at 3 RE intervals in the frequency domain with an RE where reference signals for other antenna ports are arranged.
- the CSI-RS may be transmitted using an RE other than the RE in which the CRS is disposed in the OFDM symbol in which the CRS exists.
- a reference signal is located at intervals of 3 RE, and there are two REs for data between REs for the CRS.
- Some of the REs for data in the OFDM symbol in which the CRS exists may be used as the RE for the CSI-RS.
- Eight REs may be used for the CSI-RS in one resource block (14 OFDM symbols x 12 subcarriers in the general CP or 12 OFDM symbols x 12 subcarriers in the extended CP). To this end, two OFDM symbols may be used in one resource block, and CSI-RSs may be arranged in four REs in one OFDM symbol.

- the CSI-RS may be arranged in the same subcarrier position in two OFDM symbols (first and second OFDM symbols) in which the CSI-RSs are arranged.
- the CSI-RSs (C0 and C1) for the antenna port indexes 0 and 1 are separated by the FDM scheme, and the CSI-RSs (C2 and C3) for the antenna port indexes 2 and 3 are the FDM scheme. It can be said that.
- the CSI-RSs C0 and C2 for the antenna port indexes 0 and 2 may be classified into the TDM scheme, and the CSI-RSs C1 and C3 for the antenna port indexes 1 and 3 may be classified into the TDM scheme. .

- the CSI-RS may be arranged in the same subcarrier position in two OFDM symbols (first and second OFDM symbols) in which the CSI-RSs are arranged. In this case, when defining an antenna port in the RE allocated for the CSI-RS, the RE of the first OFDM symbol and the RE of the same subcarrier location of the second OFDM symbol may be defined for different antenna ports.
- reference signals for two antenna ports may be multiplexed in the CDM scheme over two OFDM symbols at the same subcarrier location. That is, CSI-RS (C0) for antenna port index 0 is disposed over two REs concatenated in time, and CSI-RS (C1) for antenna port index 1 is disposed on the same resource element, and C0 And C1 may be multiplexed using different code resources (eg, Orthogonal Cover Code (OCC) of length 2). Similarly, CSI-RS (C2) for antenna port index 2 is disposed over two REs concatenated in time, and CSI-RS (C3) for antenna port index 3 is disposed on the same resource element. C2 and C3 may be multiplexed using different code resources. This method distinguishes CSI-RSs arranged over a time domain using an orthogonal code resource, and may be referred to as multiplexing of the CDM-T method.

That is, in the embodiments of FIGS. 11 to 12, the CSI-RS represents a pattern disposed on the first, fourth, seventh, and tenth subcarriers in one OFDM symbol.
