Description

„Antriebssystem für Luftfahrzeuge am Boden" "Aircraft propulsion system on the ground"
Beschreibungdescription
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Antriebssystem für Luftfahrzeuge am Boden. The invention relates to a drive system for aircraft on the ground.
The invention has for its object to make the drive of aircraft on the ground more efficient and quieter.
To solve this problem, it is proposed to equip the landing gear of an aircraft with electric motors, for example wheel hub motors, so that such an aircraft can move on the ground with the aid of these motors and not have to use its turbines or other aircraft drives.
On the other hand, when the turbines are on, the electric motors of the chassis can for example improve the acceleration during take-off.
To supply power to the electric motors is proposed to equip the taxiways of each airfield with power rails as a current-carrying element.
In order to transmit the current from the power rails to the aircraft, it is proposed to provide a cable projector which hurls a cable in the manner of a lasso or a boilie in the direction of the fuselage or landing gear of an aircraft. In this case, the cable can loop, for example, around a landing gear support, which also has contact surfaces on its outer side, which contact corresponding contact surfaces on the cable when, in the manner of a boilie the cable wraps around the landing gear support. The ropes could end up also have suction cups, which are stuck to contact surfaces of the fuselage of an aircraft, so as to establish an electrical contact between the power rails and the electric motors of the landing gear.
Components of the system are thus busbars in a taxiway of the aerodrome, a cable launcher for hurling a cable in the direction of an aircraft and contacts on the cable and mating contacts on the aircraft. The mating contacts on the aircraft are connected to electric motors for driving one or more wheels of the landing gear.
The components of the system are in particular the cable launcher and an aircraft with contacts and electric motors for the wheel drive of the aircraft.
The attached sketches serve to explain the invention.

Fig. 1 zeigt schematisch Rumpf A und Fahrwerk B eines Flugzeuges. Fig. 1 shows schematically fuselage A and chassis B of an aircraft. On the fuselage A of the aircraft electrical contacts are provided, of which electrical lines lead to electric motors, which serve to drive one or more wheels of the chassis B. The electric motors can be wheel hub motors.
A high-voltage supply system 1 (details see FIG. 2) has a cable thrower c, with which a cable D can be thrown in the direction of the contacts C on the fuselage A of the aircraft. At the end of the cable D contacts E are arranged, which make contact with the corresponding contacts C on the fuselage A of the aircraft. This is shown in the enlarged detail view in Fig. 1 at the top right. About the high voltage power supply system 1, the electric motors of the chassis B can be supplied with power. The control takes place from the cockpit of the aircraft. Fig. 2 shows the high voltage power supply system with a cable launcher c, which has an explosion chamber e and a barrel f in the manner of a cannon. Explosion chamber and barrel are used to spin the cable D (see Fig. 1) targeted in the direction of the fuselage A and 12 of the aircraft. For this purpose, a control unit a is provided with an optical system for the alignment of the cable thrower c and thus for establishing the contact with the aircraft. With a drive d, the cable thrower c can be aligned. The drive d and the cable thrower c are arranged in a housing b.
A high-voltage connecting rail 2 serves to connect the cable E with a high-voltage source, which is embedded in the runway of the aerodrome, in the form of a busbar. This is shown in Fig. 3 in detail. 3 again shows the high-voltage supply system 1 and the high-voltage connection rail 2. The high-voltage connection rail 2 is provided with a housing 3 for a high-voltage moving unit, which leads via guides 7. The guides 7 are housed in a running shaft in the runway of the airfield. The high-voltage moving unit is connected to a current collector 5, which is pressed in the operating case via springs 4 to the power rail 6. The running shaft 10 is embedded as a chamber in the bottom of the runway and arranged so that it runs parallel to the taxiways of the aircraft.
