Abstract

The invention relates to a component (1) for flow-conducting systems, wherein a fluid present in the flow-conducting system is influenced by the component (1). The component (1) is designed as a power-generating and/or work machine, or as a fitting. A sensor (3) is positioned in the component (1). The sensor (3) comprises a transmitter (8) and a receiver (9). The transmitter (8) generates acoustic waves on the surface (4) of the sensor (3). The receiver (9) receives said acoustic waves. The sensor (3) forwards the signals thereof to an evaluation unit (6). The evaluation unit (6) calculates the degree of blooming in the component (1) by way of a comparison with reference data.
