Abstract
The present invention relates to a wind turbine with a generator fixed on top of a tower for transmitting the load of the generator to the tower vertically and simultaneously minimizing the weight of the generator, wherein the wind turbine with a generator fixed on top of a tower comprises a rotor having a hub formed in the center and a rotation shaft protruded from the back of the hub, and coupled with a plurality of rotor blades outside the hub; the generator for generating power and having a housing disposed on top of the tower behind the rotor, having an axial length smaller than the diameter of the tower, and coupled with a stator on the inner surface thereof, and a rotator rotatively coupled in the housing for rotating by the rotation of the rotor; and a supporting bracket fixed at the upper end of the tower for supporting the bottom surface and the rear surface of the generator. Therefore, damage to the tower and the generator due to the load of the generator can be reduced, and installation and maintenance of the generator can be simplified.
