Abstract

The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and provides a method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving control information in a multi-carrier system. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for a terminal to receive multi-carrier related control information from a base station comprises the steps of: receiving control format indicator (CFI) information on multi-carrier; receiving physical HARQ indicator channel (PHICH) duration information on the multi-carrier; receiving a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) on the multi-carrier; and obtaining control information on the multi-carrier by decoding the physical downlink control channel with the CFI information and the PHICH duration information, wherein the PHICH duration information can be received through a control signal received from the base station.
