Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Wasserrad, bevorzugt ein unterschlächtiges oder mittelschlächtiges Wasserrad mit horizontaler Radnabe (21), wobei entlang des Radumfangs (22) Schaufelanordnungen (15) zur Umsetzung der Bewegungs- und gegebenenfalls auch Lageenergie des Wasserstroms in eine Drehbewegung des Wasserrades vorgesehen sind, wobei die Schaufelanordnungen (15) mindestens zwei Schaufellamellen umfassen und die Schaufellamellen unterschiedliche Größen aufweisen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die äußerste Schaufellamelle (13) eine größere Schaufeltiefe (23) aufweist als die anderen inneren Schaufellamellen (14, 16, 17) der Schaufelanordnung. Weiters betrifft die Erfindung ein Wasserkraftwerk mit ein oder mehreren derartigen Wasserrädern.
