Abstract
The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for measuring an endless profiled object, comprising radiation means (22) emitting radiation in the direction of the object (9). The apparatus and the endless profiled object (15) can be moved relative to one another along an axis (9) of the apparatus. The apparatus (1) further comprises at least one recording device (21) which detects radiation reflected by the object and is suited to determine an outer contour of a profiled cross-section of the object (15), and driving means that are coupled to the recording device (21) and/or to the radiation means (24). A position of the recording device and/or a position of the radiation means can be adjusted according to a position of the object relative to the apparatus such that the recording device (21) and/or the radiation means (24) are placed in a predetermined position relative to the object (15).
