Abstract

The invention relates to a fixing device for attaching a sponge to the kitchen sink, especially to the wall of the sink basin. Inside the sponge (2) is placed a magnet (3) and behind the sink wall (1) is fixed an attachment magnet (5) which is a rotating magnet ball(5), which is able to rotate by the effect of the magnet (3) in the sponge (2)in such a way that the opposite poles of the magnets (3, 5) come against each other irrespective of the direction of the polarity of the sponge (2) magnet (3).

Description

Fixing device for attaching a sponge to the kitchen sink
The invention relates to a fixing device for attaching a sponge to the kitchen sink, especially to the wall of the sink basin.
Placing a sponge in connection with a kitchen sink is problematic. On the sink top, the sponge presents an aesthetic and a hygiene problem. On the bottom of the sink basin, the sponge is constantly wet and prevents the flow of water into the drain. Different types of racks placed on the sink top take up space on the top.
The aim of the invention is to solve the above problem of placing a sponge in connection with a kitchen sink.
The problem is solved by means of the characteristics disclosed in the appended claim 1. The dependent claims disclose preferred embodiments of the invention.
In the following, two embodiments of the invention are illustrated with refer- ence to the accompanying drawing, in which
Figure 1 shows diagrammatically a top view of the fixing device according to the invention, with the sink wall 1 in section and in a vertical position.
In Figure 1, inside the sponge 2 is placed a magnet 3 and behind the sink wall 1 is fixed an attachment magnet 5.
The attachment magnet 5 is a rotating magnet ball, which is able to rotate by the effect of the magnet 3 in the sponge 2 in such a way that the opposite poles of the magnets 3 and 5 will always come against each other irre- spective of which way the magnet is placed inside the sponge or which way the sponge 2 attached to the point of attachment if the sponge is sufficiently thin for mutual attachment.
On the sponge 2 is made a cut 7 extending from the surface to the inside of the sponge, through which the magnet 3 is inserted in the sponge 2 where the magnet 3 remains by means of the elasticity of the sponge material.
The attachment magnet ball 5 is placed in a plastic holder 8 with a space 9 for receiving the magnet ball 5, which is closed by a cover 10. The holder 8 is provided with an adhesive for fixing the holder to the wall 1 of the sink or of the basin. The adhesive may be covered by a tear-off protective film.
The magnet 3 may be a long-life one, in which case it can always be changed into a new sponge, which is already provided with a cut 7 and a suitable space for the magnet 3.
The magnet 3 may obviously also be a disposable one, that is, already placed inside the sponge, and disposed of when the sponge is worn out.

Claims

Claims
1. A fixing device for attaching a sponge to the kitchen sink, especially to the wall of the sink basin, characterised in that inside the sponge (2) is placed a magnet (3) and behind the sink wall (1) is fixed an attachment magnet (5) which is a rotating magnet ball (5), which is able to rotate by the effect of the magnet (3) in the sponge (2) in such a way that the opposite poles of the magnets (3, 5) come against each other irrespective of the direction of the polarity of the sponge (2) magnet (3).
2. A device as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that on the sponge (2) is made a cut (7) extending from the surface to the inside of the sponge, through which the magnet (3) is inserted in the sponge (2) where the magnet (3) remains by means of the elasticity of the sponge material.
