Description

Folding Stand
Technical Field
The invention concerns a folding stand consisting of supporting panels and display boards.
State-of-the-art
For presentation of products or their arrangement for a sale offer, there are stands used which comprise supporting panels between which display boards, eventually shelves, on which the products are laid-up, are placed in. For structural simplicity of such stands and their mobility, it is necessary that they are possible to be folded-up or assembled on various locations and taken to pieces easily as well. Another substantial requirement for such stands is to achieve their low weight. To achieve a low weight, it is advisable to use materials with a low specific weight, e.g. cardboard. It is possible to fit together a stand of this material with a sufficient carrying capacity, if supporting panels, to which display boards are fixed in various ways, are compact, without any static failure, e.g. fractures. Affixion of display boards is made by demountable joining, e.g. through joints, where one part of the joint is fastened to the supporting panel and the second part of the joint is fastened to the display board or through mounting interstices where the fold of the lateral display board is inserted to the mounting interstice at the supporting panel, eventually vice- versa. For stability enhancement of the whole stand, the supporting panels are then connected with a back panel which is mostly in one piece with supporting panels, whereas there is a rectangular rebate between the supporting panels and the back panel. Various types of arrangement of such sorts of stands feature different composition and that means different time for their demounting and different size for their displacement after the disassembly.
There are also stands which are composed of only two parts, one of them is a supporting part and the second one serves for display, with the help of which relatively quick mounting and demounting of the stand is possible, however, their size is considerably large for displacement.
The aim of this invention is a design of a folding stand which enables a fast assembly and disassembly while achieving a very small size of a folded stand for a further transport. Subject Matter of the Invention
The principle of the folding stand construction according to the invention lies in the fact that the supporting panels are connected by a swivel with display boards which are fitted with folds, whereas the folds of all the display boards are located at the same plane. In some case, the supporting panels are connected by a swivel with a back panel fitted with a fold which is located at the same plane as the folds of the display boards. The advantage is that the plane of folds of the display boards and of the back panel is located between the supporting panels. Alternatively, there can be insertable shelves and/or a vertical upper board placed on the display boards between the supporting panels.
The advantage of this folding stand design according to the submitted invention is an easy and fast assembly and disassembly with an interesting design effect (shelves e.g. with 3D elements), whereas in the folded form it takes only very small space for transport.
Survey of Figures on Drawings
In the attached figures, there is a schematic plot of the folding stand according to the invention in an axionometric view depicted:
Fig.1 The stand in the assembled condition, with the insertable shelves taken out;
Fig.2 The stand according to Fig.1 with the insertable shelves put in; and
Fig.3 The stand according to Fig.1, partly folded.
Example of the Invention Embodiment
The folding stand is composed of the side supporting panels I which are connected one with another through the display boards 2_, The display boards 2 are connected with the supporting panels I by a swivel, e.g. through joints or, in case that the stand is made of cardboard, through a bendable join, where the end pieces of the display boards 2 are glued to the supporting panels I.
The display boards 2 are fitted with folds 9 which can be formed e.g. by a knuckle joint or, in case of the display boards made of cardboard, by a simple bendable join. The folds 9 are situated advantageously between the supporting panels I which means, when folding the stand, that the supporting panels I adjoin to one another, however, they can eventually be placed closer to one of the supporting panels. The particular folds 9 are arranged at one plane, parallel with the supporting panels 1. The supporting panels I are, likewise the display boards 2, connected with the rear back panel 5 which is fitted with the fold 9, as well as the display boards 2. The fold 9 of the back panel is located at the same plane as the folds 9 of the display boards 2. The display boards 2 can serve themselves for arrangement of objects to display or as bearing surfaces for insertion of the insertable shelves 2 on which objects to display are then arranged. Then, the insertable shelves 3 serve as a restraint against folding the stand. This function is undertaken also by the upper board 8 which is inserted between the supporting panels 1 vertically, while the insertable shelves 3 are inserted horizontally. The upper board 8 is, in case of need, fitted with other bearing areas or fixtures for arrangement of objects to display. In some case, the mounting interstice 4 serves for guiding the insertable shelves 3 and fixing elements formed by latching juts 6 on the insertable shelves 3 and latching interstices 7 in the back panel serve for their securing in the inserted-in position.
The supporting panels 1 can be also connected with other parts, e.g. a front decorative panel placed under the display boards 2 (not illustrated), where this panel would be also fitted with a fold located at the same plane as the folds 9 of the display boards 2.
In Fig.3, a partial folding of the stand after taking-out the insertable shelves 3 and the upper board 8 is plotted.
