Abstract

The invention relates to a method and a plant for combined solar thermal electric and heat generation and refrigeration. The working medium is evaporated by connecting a solar collector (11) and the fresh steam (18) is provided to a steam screw motor (3) for power generation and to a jet compressor (4) for heat generation and refrigeration. By regulating the amount of fresh steam (18) either a power-controlled or refrigeration-controlled operation or a pure power operation or refrigeration operation with or without coupled heat production for hot or heated water for the plant is possible. According to requirements on the refrigeration side water or ammonia can be used as working medium on the refrigeration side for the provision of process cooling with simultaneous generation of power and heat. The method and the plant achieves a higher total efficiency than conventional combination power-heat-refrigeration plants with reduced plant complexity and reduced investment costs.
