Abstract

Adhesive tape:the purpose of this device is to keep easy the tape cutting maintening a free edge after the cutting itself, in order to resume it in the next. We are trying to avoid the possibility to have a damage on the tape due to the nail of the finger when it is used after the first time. Teflon tape: this object wants to help in the cutting of teflon tape used by plumbers. The cut is doing while the tape is reeling.in the pipe; this object keeps fixed a piece of tape onto the roll, so that it could be seen and easily taken.

Adhesive tape
The article is formed by two parts.
The first is leaned at the tape roll (it goes through a split) on where is looked for the next using. The second one, notched, will cut off the tape.
After the tape has been cut, the shear itself will push it and link at the roller together with the device.
To use it is sufficient to push with the inch on the grained part which, revolving , will take off the tape by the roller in order to give the possibility to be picked up with the fingers. With the second part the tape is cut and jont to the roll.
The object has minimum shape (about 2,5x2,5 cm, even less for smaller tapes) and may become an integral part of the roll. Sheets of drawing: Fig 1), Fig 2)
Teflon tape
The idea is to get a tool which avoids to tear up the tape from the spool; but rather, its aim is to cut the tape while you are working, with only one hand; moreover, it wants to let the user taking a new piece of tape, since it is clearly visible.
The object is composed by an open cylinder made of very thin sheet metal which is threaded in the hole of teflon spool.
It juts out from the spool for a few millimetres and there is a small slit in which the tape for the cut slides.
It can even been realized by a thin steel foil which wraps round, inside the roll. This small cylinder keeps staying inside the one teflon manifacture which can be stacked in a pile with other rolls for sale and which can be used some other times on different rolls.

1) With this device is very simple to take the initial part of the tape (paper or plastic) without being forced to find it with the nail and you may quickly cut off the teflon tape while it is wrapping on the pipe.
2) It leaves well visible the beginning of the tape that is still with the roller such to be easily taken with a couple of fingers.
3) Thanks to the fact that it is set up on the roll and it is always ready, it will speed up the handicrafts times; moreover, it is pocketable and adaptable to different size rolls.
4) It is a simple concept: the tape goes through a split and stops the device on the roll itself.
5) The idea is to get a tool which avoids to tear up the tape from the spool; but rather, its aim is to cut the tape while you are working, with only one hand; moreover, it wants to let the user taking a new piece of tape, since it is clearly visible.
