Description

INK JET VERTICAL PLOTTER
The present patent of invention refers to a new conception of plotters for Black & White or color printing using solvent or UV- curable ink Jet, presenting a vertical shaped structure, with a mobile printer head going up and down, having the advantages of reducing the space for installation and operation, reducing also costs of location or purchase of a plotter house, economizing energy of the printer head displacement system, economizing maintenance expenses due to lower wear of its printer head displacement parts, ink supply made by gravity, reducing costs with pumps and simplifying its installation, allowing the use of a single central exhaustion system and comfort on the operation.
As known in the state of the art of construction, use and maintenance of plotters, this equipment is currently constructed with horizontal structure for its installation and operation, demanding great space for housing, increasing costs with location or purchase of a plotter house for its installation, and consuming more energy for displacing the printer head horizontally without the use of gravity.
By researching the Brazilian and foreign patents database, no ink jet plotter with its structure on vertical shape and with its printer head working vertically was found.
INK JET VERTICAL PLOTTER, object of the present patent application was developed to overcome the disadvantages of the current horizontal plotters, for having vertical shaped structure, with its printer head operating up and down, not losing its productivity on squared meters of print material, bringing advantages such as reducing the space for installation and operation, lowering costs of location or purchasing a plotter house, allowing the use of a differential design, economizing energy of the printer head displacement system, due to the use of gravity, counterbalance and due to the unnecessary paint supplying pumps, consequent economy with maintenance due to lower wear of the parts of the printer head displacement system, economy with the lack of need of removal of the gap on the spindle and roll feed spindle cylinders, due to the use of gravity, better settlement of the medium due to association of vacuum with the traction of the spindle coming from the roll feed spindle, paint stability on the mobile paint reservoir due to vertical operation, allowing the supply of paint by using gravity, reducing costs with pumps and simplifying the installations, allowing the use of a single central exhaustion system on the top of the equipment, using the rise of gases and/or vapor, permitting the use of a simplified (for example a simple duct or hose) printer head's cable storage device system and of comfort on the operation because there is no need for horizontal displacement of the operator.
For better understanding of the present patent application, the following figures were attached showing the applicable construction form:
FIG. 1., shows the perspective view of the vertical plotter of the present patent application;
FIG. 2., shows the perspective view with internal details of the vertical plotter of the present patent application;
FIG. 3., shows the perspective view of the spindle, roll feed spindle and vacuum chamber assembly, connected to the inferior and superior base of the vertical plotter of the present patent application;
FIG. 4., shows a detailed perspective of the displacement device of the printer head with the counterbalance connected to the inferior and superior base of the present patent application's vertical plotter;
The vertical plotter of the present patent has an inferior base (1 ) in elliptical circular, or polygonal shape, with coverage (1-A)1 sustaining structure (2) with vertical chassis (2-A), left (2-B) and right (2-C) stops, pillar (2-D) and column (2-E), with superior base (3) in elliptical circular, or polygonal shape, with roll feed spindle (4) with vertical cylindrical shape and inferior tip (4-A) housed in a bearing (4-B) with axial roller set in the inferior base (1) and superior tip (4-C) housed in a bearing (4-D) with a brake set on the superior base (3), with vacuum chamber (5) of vertical prismatic polygonal shape, platen (5-A) positioned between the spindle (4) and the roll feed spindle (6), with suction holes (5-B), lower cleaning vat (5-C) fixed on the inferior base (1 ) and on the superior base (3), with vertical cylindrical shaped spindle (6) with lower tip (6-A) housed in axial roller reductor (6-B), engine (6- C) fixed on the inferior base (1) with higher tip (6-D) housed in a bearing (6-E) set on the superior base (3), displacing device of the printer head (7) equipped with engine (7-A) fixed on the inferior base and with gear (7-B) wrapped by the toothed belt (7-C) connected to a counterbalance (7-D), gear (7-E) of the stretcher (7-F) fixed on the superior base (3) and on the printer head (9), with printer head guide rail (8) fixed on the inferior base (1 ) and on the superior base (3) and wrapped by the printer head body (9), and with printer head (9) equipped with conventional ink Jet devices with paint supply made by gravity and connected to the electronic box (10) through electric wiring in a cable storage device (11); with electronic box (10) of vertical prismatic polygonal shape fixed on the inferior base (1) and on the superior base (3), with electronic device equipped with software or firmware and control panel (10-A), simplified vertical cable storage device (11) with duct or hose shape, with exhauster (12) set in the exhaustion chamber formed by the superior base (3) and superior lid (13) and door (14) to access the internal devices, of vertical curved shape and transparent with hinges and locks.
Alternatively, the coverage (1-A) may be replaced by side supports to be fixed on the wall. The operation of the vertical plotter of the present patent application is due similarly to the horizontal plotters, differing from those by the printer head displacement system that uses gravity and counterbalance, and due to the unnecessary paint supply pumps; better settlement of the medium due to association of vacuum with the traction of the spindle coming from the roll feed spindle; paint stability on the mobile paint reservoir due to vertical operation, allowing the supply of paint by using gravity, allowing the use of a single central exhaustion system.
