Abstract

오디오 신호 중 소정 임계 주파수 이상의 고주파수 대역의 신호를 보다 효율적으로 부호화하거나 복호화하는 방법 및 장치가 개시된다. 본 발명에 따른 오디오 신호의 부호화 방법 및 장치는 고주파수 신호에 대한 선형 예측 코딩 분석을 통해 생성된 선형 예측 코딩 계수 및 잔차 신호의 이득 정보를 부호화함으로써 적은 비트를 이용하면서도 향상된 음질을 갖도록 고주파수 신호를 부호화한다.
