Abstract

The subject invention in summary will remove air from a baggy by the user pressing the subject invention on top of the baggy with food in the baggy, and closing the baggy. The subject invention consists of a foamy material on its underside which conforms to and around the shape of the food item and presses down on the rest of the baggy area thus pushing out air from the inside of the baggy. Further two of the subject invention may be used, one from one side and the other from the opposite side. Further the two foamy materials may be connected on one side via hinge.

Description

Title Baggy Deflation System Educed Removal Air PCTPA
Technical Field
The field of the subject invention is the tools, machines and processes used in the removal of air from baggies, such as zip lock baggies, where in food are stored.
Background Art
One such machine uses suction, where in food item is placed in a baggy and the machine suctions out air from the bag before bag closure.
Disclosure Of The Invention
The subject invention in summary will remove air from a baggy by the user pressing the subject invention on top of the baggy with food in the baggy, and closing the baggy. The subject invention consists of a conforming material on its underside which conforms to and around the shape of the food item and presses down on the rest of the baggy area thus pushing out air from the inside of the baggy. For food items which are not planar on all sides two the subject invention may be used, one from one side and the other from the opposite side. Weather having conforming material on one or two sides, the conforming material may be stationed in a closable, hinged unit. A function of the present invention is the hindrance of freezer bum and germ growth and germ proliferation.
Further another embodiment is a duck bill shape having a top bill and bottom bill hinged on one side. The inner side of one or both bills lined with foamy conformable material. The bills possessing handle or handles. The bills possessing a latching mechanism or latching mechanisms, relatively with ease latching together when in contact and with ease unlatching via unlatching means.
The ease of unlatching can be via pressing a button, via automatic upon opening for example if one of the handles is hinged and can move up and down so as when the handles are pulled apart to open the bills the handle first moves on its hinge releasing a latch and the user hardly realizes the bills were latched unlatched, via magnets of relative strength holding bills closed up to a relative pressure, via mechanical (electrical) (powered) devise by actuation means such as a button... The present invention will be cheaper to produce, cheaper for the consumer to purchase, less complicated for the consumer to apply, more reliable, has a longer life span, more relatable functionally to the common consumer. The present invention is economically sound to produce, economically sound for the consumer to purchase, uncomplicated for the consumer to apply, very reliable, has a long life span, is relatable functionally to the common consumer.
Brief Description Of The Drawings
Fig. 1 is a side view of the present invention showing a conformable material portion 112 and a firm portion HD. Fig. 2 is a side view showing a food item 22, similar to a drum stick, located inside a baggy 2H. The baggy 211 having zip clasps 23, although they are not necessary. Fig. 3 is a side view showing Fig. 1 upside down where the conformable portion 31 is above the firm portion 32. Fig. 4 is a side view showing Fig. 2 in between Fig. 1 and Fig. 3 pressed together. Fig. 4 shows a baggy deflator above with a firm portion 41 above its conformable portion 42, and directly below it is another baggy deflator with the conformable portion 4® facing upward, relative to its firm portion 47. In between the two baggy deflators, before they were brought together we placed a baggy with food item inside, as shown in Fig. 2. Fig.4 shows the baggy 44 flattened and the air was released from the bag opening. Further the conformable portions 42 and 46 conformed around the food item 43. Although not necessary this Fig. 4 shows a Ziploc clasp 45, in its shut position. Fig. 5 shows a food item §2, similar to jelly or a pile of small pieces of a food item ex. Rice, located inside a baggy 51. Since certain food item will be relatively flat against a flat surface such as jelly or a pile of rice, only one baggy deflator may be necessary. Fig. 6 shows a side view of a table top 66 where on a baggy 64, with a food item inside 63, is placed. Further Fig. 6 shows a baggy deflator with a conformable side 62 pressed down above the baggy 64 flattening the baggy, conforming around the food item, and releasing air from inside the baggy out through a baggy opening.
For the baggy deflator to function a firm portion is not needed. In other words this invention would also work simply with a conformable portion.
Fig. 7 shows a spongy conformable portion 71 hinged 73 at its comer to a firm portion 72. Thus a baggy is placed between the two portions and they are swung closed. A handle may be provided. Fig. 8 shows Fig 7 in the open position. A further embodiment of Fig. 7, 8 would be two have spongy conformable material on both portions, for example a spongy conformable portion on the firm portion 72 on the side of firm portion 72 facing the spongy conformable portion 71. Fig. 9 shows two firm portions S1 and 92 whereon 92 is a spongy conformable portion. The spongy conformable portion can be on one of the two firm portions 92 or 91 or on both (in the diagram the spongy conformable portion is on one side only (92). Further it shows handles 94 for gripping and or moving the 911 and 92 apart and together. The 91 and 92 can also be moved automatically if a mechanical device is placed to move them apart and or together upon actuation. Further it shows a latch 93 which holds the two parts 91 and 92 together when they are in the closed position and is easily released by a latch release means. Further the hinge can be spring loaded so as to have the two parts 91 and 92 open and held in the open position when they are not closed (latched). Fig. 10 is an example for a latch release system being simple and within drawing ability... The top bill 1011 has a handle 104 connected to it on a hinge 102 which allows the handle 104 to move slightly upward thus the latching means 103 can move also upward and out when the handle is pushed up to lift the top bill 101 thus unlatching from the bottom bill 10S where on the latching means 103 caused a latch to be latched. Thus when the bills are closed the latch automatically closes (for fig. 10 the latches would be spring loaded hinged to only move out) and opens automatically when the handles are pushed apart (for Fig. 10 the handle would be spring loaded hinged to only move up). Fig. 11 is a bottom view of foam having cuts 111 running up down and left right extending a portion of the depth of the foam, as more clearly seen in Fig. 12 and Fig. 13 which are side views of the foam
A further embodiment being partially shown in Fig. 14 being that of a lower bill having four walls 144 and conformable material there in. The lower bill has two rods 143 which extend upward, one on each side of the bill along the outer side walls, and extend upward to meet latch later discussed. The lower bill being attached to a upper bill via a spring loaded hinge, which exerts force toward opening of bills. The upper bill having four walls and conformable material there in. A U handle 141 is located on said curve attached to said curve via hinge. The handle has bars 142 extending outward from each side and touch the top of said rods. Said rods top having a flexible top, thus when handle is pulled to push upper bill down, said bars click under said rod top holding the bills in a closed position. Further when handle is pulled up it rotates said bars releasing portion of bar held under said rod. Inside the bills are foam with slits in them. The handle need not have movable feature for unlatching means, if a button for unlatching means is used.
Another variation is the replacement of a spongy conformable portion with spring loaded bars.
