Abstract

一般式;QxR(OH)z(CO3 2-)0.5-y/2(X-)y・nH2O(式中、xは、1.8≦x≦4.2の数値範囲を示す。zは、2(x+1)を示す。yは、最小値0であり、陰イオン(X−)が残存若しくは一部導入されている場合は、1未満まで増加する。Qは、2価の金属イオン。Rは、3価の金属イオン。nは、2±2。)で表される組成を有する炭酸イオン型の層状複水酸化物を出発原料とし、その炭酸イオンサイトに−1価の陰イオンを置換して前記式中のyを最大1 にまで増加する陰イオン交換性層状複水酸化物の製造方法において、前記出発原料を、その炭酸イオンサイトを置換するに足る−1価の陰イオンを含む塩を混合した水溶液中に分散させて、置換するにあたり、その水溶液のpHを4超かつ7未満に維持することで、安全確実に、連続的に、結晶外形・結晶構造・結晶性を保ったまま脱炭酸イオンを行うことを提供する。
