Abstract

 本発明の通信装置は、データ通信されるネットワークにおいて用いられる通信装置であって、ネットワーク内で通信されるデータに対して、QoS を設定するために必要な情報であるQoS 設定情報を、ドメイン名に対応付けて予め保持する優先データ情報保持部と、ネットワーク内のDNS サーバへ送信するDNS パケットを監視し、当該DNS パケットに含まれるドメイン名を取得する制御パケット監視部と、優先データ情報保持部に保持されているQoS 設定情報のうちに、取得されたドメイン名に対応するQoS 設定情報が存在する場合、当該QoS 設定情報に基づいて、DNS パケットの送信元である通信装置が行うデータ通信に対してQoS を設定する優先制御設定部とを備える。これにより、本発明の通信装置は、リアルタイム通信であるAV フローのQoS 設定における処理負荷を軽減でき、公開されていないプロトコル等を使用しているAV フローも検出できる。
