Abstract

Disclosed is an electrolyte solution for nonaqueous batteries having high flame retardancy. Also disclosed is a nonaqueous battery comprising such an electrolyte solution for nonaqueous batteries and exhibiting excellent battery performance and high safety. Specifically disclosed is an electrolyte solution for nonaqueous batteries, which is characterized by containing, in a nonaqueous solvent, a first additive which is composed of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of bis(oxalato)borates, difluoro(oxalato)borates, tris(oxalato)phosphates, difluoro(bisoxalato)phosphates and tetrafluoro(oxalato)phosphates, a second additive which is composed of a cyclic phosphazene compound represented by the general formula (1) below, and a supporting salt. (NPR2)n (1) (In the formula, R's independently represent a halogen element, an alkoxy group or an aryloxy group; and n represents 3 or 4.)
