Vorrichtung zur optischen Detektion von Verunreinigungen in längsbewegtem GarnDevice for the optical detection of contaminants in longitudinally moved yarn
The invention relates to a device for the optical detection of impurities, in particular of foreign fibers, in longitudinally moved yarn, having a white light diode which emits light in the direction of the yarn and having a blue light emitting semiconductor element and a luminescence conversion element, and having at least one sensor for measuring the Yarn remitted light.
A generic device is disclosed in DE 198 59 274 Al.
White light is particularly advantageous as a light source in foreign matter detection devices. For light sources that emit monochromatic light with a very narrow wavelength range, it can happen that certain foreign substances cause no or insufficient brightness change and thereby the reliability of the foreign substance detection is impaired. Other light sources that emit white light, such as lasers, flashlamps or incandescent bulbs require significantly more space and have a higher energy consumption than white light diodes.
White light diodes have, due to the method of generating the white light, no constant intensity distribution over the entire wavelength range, but a pronounced narrow maximum in the blue wavelength range emitted by the blue light diode and a broad maximum in the longer wavelength range emitted by the luminescence conversion element becomes.
By changing the concentration or the type of luminescent agent, the wavelength spectrum can be adjusted within wide limits. Practically available white light diodes, however, always have the extreme values described above, wherein the maximum in blue wavelengths is significantly greater than the maximum in the longer wavelength range. The company NICHIA offers white light diodes for sale. An example type is the model NSCW100, whose specification is available at the Internet address "http: //www.nichia.com/specification/led_smd/NSCW100-E.pdf". The wavelength spectrum shows more than twice the intensity in the blue range than in the longer wavelength range.
It has been found that white fibers, especially those of acrylic, polyester or viscose, reflect blue light particularly strongly and structural variations in the reflectance of the yarn have stronger influences on the measured intensity of the reflected light than the presence of impurities in the yarn. Thus, it may happen that some of the impurities or foreign matter are not recognized. It is therefore the object of the present invention to improve the detection of contaminants in longitudinally moved yarn.
The object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1. Advantageous developments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
To achieve the object, an optical filter is arranged on the path of the light, which is designed to reduce the intensity of the wavelength ranges of the blue light and to leave the intensities of the longer wavelength wavelength ranges of the visible light largely unaffected.
The optical filter makes it possible to easily reduce the pronounced intensity maximum of the blue light, which leads to inaccuracies in the foreign substance detection, and thus to eliminate the reason for the noise in the reflection signal.
The blue wavelength range is in the interval from 430 nm to 490 nm. The wavelength range from 490 nm to the end of the range of visible light at about 780 nm should thus penetrate the filter largely unhindered in principle. The transitions between the colors, however, are fluid. Furthermore, sharp transitions in the transmittance of the filter and transmittances of 100% are practically unrealizable. Thus, in a preferred embodiment of the device according to the invention, the transmittance of the filter for the wavelengths of 520nm to 720nm is greater than 80%.
It is advantageous if the intensity maximum in the blue wavelength range by means of the filter by at least 30% is reducible. It should be noted that the intensity of the blue light of a white light diode is not consistently high over the entire blue wavelength range, but there is a narrowband maximum within the blue wavelength range. The exact position of the maximum and the associated intensity are dependent on the white light diode used. It is therefore clear that in order to reduce the intensity of the blue light by 30%, the transmittance of the filter does not have to be 70% corresponding to 70% in the entire blue wavelength range, but is correspondingly adapted to the respective blue light spectrum of the white light diode.
Bei typischen Spektren einer Weißlichtdiode, wie der NSCWlOO, entspricht dies einer Reduktion der Intensität des blauen Lichtes um 50 bis 60%.Due to the different intensity values of the blue light as a function of the white light diode used, in a further preferred embodiment the filter is designed such that the intensity maximum in the blue wavelength range is matched to the intensity maximum in the longer wavelength range. For typical spectra of a white light diode, such as the NSCW100, this corresponds to a reduction of the intensity of the blue light by 50 to 60%.
Sensors that sense the intensity of light in a wide wavelength range do not have the same sensitivity over the entire wavelength range. Thus, the light path of white light diode, filter and sensor should be matched. In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the transmittance of the optical filter and the sensitivity of the sensor for measuring the light remitted by the yarn are designed so that a desired resulting filter effect is produced for each wavelength range.
The filter may be between the white light diode and the yarn or between the yarn and the sensor for measuring the yarn be arranged remitted light. The filter can be integrated into the white-light diode or the sensor by applying the filter as a thin layer to the respective component.
Interference filters that consist of several thin layers on a carrier layer are particularly suitable as optical filters. When a light beam passes through the filter, the beam components reflected and transmitted at the interfaces of the layers interfere so that the emission and amplification of beams of a specific wavelength occur at the output of the filter.
In principle, it is also possible to use classic color filters in which the reduction of the blue wavelength range is effected by absorption.
As described above, a transmissivity of 100% with an optical filter is practically impossible. In order to avoid undesired reflections in the transmission wavelength range, the optical filter may have an antireflection coating. This increases the transmittance.
In an advantageous embodiment of the device according to the invention, the optical filter has means for scattering the transmitted light. The scattering of the light can be effected for example by a roughened surface of the filter.
For optical detection of impurities, preferably parallel light is emitted in the direction of the yarn. For this purpose, the light emitted by the light source is passed through a scattering film. The light emitted by the scattering film should preferably have the properties of a Lambertian radiator. The thus processed light can then be parallelized by means of a lens become. A corresponding arrangement is described in DE 10 2004 053 736 A1. According to the invention, the scattering film can be replaced by the optical filter so that in addition to the desired filtering of the wavelength ranges, the scattering of the light also takes over.
The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to embodiments shown in the drawings.

The curve 1 of the diagram shown in FIG. 1 shows the intensity of the light emitted by a white light diode as a function of the wavelength. The course shows a narrowband maximum at a wavelength of about 470 nm. This is the intensity of the blue light which excites the luminescence conversion element. The curve 1 still shows a broad maximum in the longer wavelength range, which of the Luminescence conversion element of the white light diode is emitted. As you can see, the maximum in the blue wavelength range is more than twice as large as in the longer wavelength range. An optical filter is now to reduce the maximum in the blue wavelength range. Curve 3 in FIG. 2 shows the transmittance of the filter as a function of the wavelength. Below 500 nm, ie in the blue wavelength range, the transmittance is below 50% and then increases to larger wavelengths and that is achieved until at least approximately 100%. The intensity of the filtered light is shown in curve 2 in FIG. 1. The reduction of the intensity in the blue wavelength range is more than 50% in accordance with the transmittance of the filter. Thus, the maximum of the blue light adjusts to the maximum in the longer wavelength range.
Figures 3 and 4 show greatly simplified and limited to the essential elements of two variants of a device according to the invention. In FIG. 3, the white light diode 11 emits light in the direction of the yarn 13. The light is reflected on the yarn and detected by the photodiode 12. The photodiode thus serves as a sensor for measuring the light remitted by the yarn. The path of the light is symbolized by the dashed line 14. On the way of the light, an optical filter 10 is disposed between the white light diode 11 and the yarn 13. By this arrangement, so the proportion of the blue light is reduced before the light hits the yarn. Analogous to the device in FIG. 3, the white-light diode 21 in FIG. 4 emits light in the direction of the yarn 23 and the light remitted by the yarn is detected by means of the photodiode 22. The dashed line symbolizing the path of the light is denoted by reference numeral 24. In this embodiment, the optical filter is disposed between the yarn 23 and the photodiode 22. The blue light part is here So reduced after the light is reflected from the yarn and thus reduces a caused by the blue light noise in the measurement signal of the photosensor.
Die Lichtquelle emittiert Licht in Richtung des Garns 33.5 shows the detailed construction of a light source with a white-light diode 31 and an optical system 38. In this exemplary embodiment, the optical filter 30 is integrated into the optical system 38. The light source emits light in the direction of the yarn 33.
The light emitted by the white light diode 31 first passes through the optical filter 30. On the one hand, the filter reduces the blue portion of the light and additionally causes a scattering of the transmitted light due to a roughened surface. This results in a radiation characteristic which at least approaches that of a Lampertian radiator. Through the aperture 34, the light is focused and fed to the lens 35. After the lens, the individual light rays are more or less parallel. Between the lens and the yarn then another aperture 36 and a glass plate 37 is arranged.
