Abstract

[PROBLEMS] A vehicle wheel produced with high productivity and less weld failures and having sufficient joint strength. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The vehicle wheel is constructed by welding a rim (2) and a disc (10) together. The rim (2) has a drop section, and the disc (10) is integrally formed of a plate material. The disc has a hub installation section (10a), spokes (10b) radially extending from the hub installation section toward the outer peripheral edge of the disc, and a ring-shaped disc flange (10c) connected to the spokes via curved surface connection sections (R) formed by folding the outer peripheral ends of the spokes into the direction of the axis of the wheel. The disc flange extends in the direction of the axis of the wheel. A portion surrounded by adjacent spokes, the hub installation section, and the disc flange is defined as a decoration hole (20). Among the portions where the inner peripheral surface of the rim and the outer peripheral surface of the disc flange are fitted together, portions facing head ends (12) of the spokes are welded.
