Abstract

 鉛(Pb)を含まず、かつ切削性、鋳造性、機械特性等に優れた黄銅の提供。  Cuを55wt%以上75wt%以下、Biを0.3wt%以上4.0wt%以下、BおよびSiを、それぞれをywt%およびxwt%としたとき、0≦x≦2.0、0≦y≦0.3、およびy>-0.15x+0.015ab(ここで、aは、Biが0.3≦Bi<0.75wt%、0.75≦Bi<1.5wt%、1.5≦Bi≦4.0wt%の場合、それぞれ0.2、0.85、および1であり、bは、見かけ上のZn含有量が、37%以上41%未満のとき1であり、41%以上45%以下のとき0.75である)の関係を満足する量、そして残部が実質的にZnと不可避不純物からなる黄銅は、鋳造性に優れ、かつ切削性、機械特性等にも優れる。
