Abstract

L'invention concerne un foret comprenant au moins un tampon d'extension s'étendant de manière rotative à l'avant et à l'arrière d'une lame associée dans une région de calibre du corps de foret. Le tampon d'extension comprend une surface d'appui circonférentielle qui étend la surface d'appui circonférentielle de la lame associée et réduit la chute chordale entre une lame quelconque ayant un tampon d'extension associé à celle-ci et une lame circonférentiellement adjacente vers laquelle le tampon d'extension fait saillie. Un foret qui réduit un segment de chute chordale s'étendant dans une fente de déchet est également décrit.
