Abstract
従来、加工面の属性として部品種類別の形状の特長の情報を持っていなかったので、工具やプローブの形状や姿勢までを設定ファイルで持っておくことができなかった。 3次元金型CADデータをもとに金属素材を加工して所望の3次元形状の金型を生成するシステムであって、3次元金型CADデータと関連させて規定された所定の金型面属性と、当該所定の金型面属性を製作された金型において実現させるために適した加工方法との関係を対応付けて記憶した、金型面属性・加工方法対応記憶手段と、金型面属性・加工方法対応記憶手段の金型面属性・加工方法を用いて金型面属性の各面の属性に対応する加工方法を導き出す金型加工方法導出手段と、金型加工方法導出手段によって導出された金型加工方法に従って金属素材を加工して金型を生成する金属素材加工手段とを備える、金型生成システム。
