Abstract

　画像符号化装置は、原画像から第１エッジ成分画像を抽出する抽出部（１２１）と；参照画像を、第２エッジ成分画像とエッジ除去画像とに分離する分離部（１３０）と；第２エッジ成分画像から第１エッジ成分画像を予測するための補助情報を生成する補助情報生成部（１２２）と；補助情報を用いて第２エッジ成分画像から第３エッジ成分画像を予測する予測部（１４１）と；エッジ除去画像と第３エッジ成分画像とを合成して予測画像を生成する予測画像生成部（１４２）と；を具備する。
