Abstract

A recording medium (100) comprises a data area (114) in which record data is recorded and a ratio information recording area (110) in which ratio information indicating at least one of (i) a first ratio (1102) between the amplitude of a recorded push-pull signal in a recorded area portion and the amplitude of an unrecorded push-pull signal in an unrecorded area portion and (ii) a second ratio (1101) between the amplitude of the recorded push-pull signal normalized by the reflected light amount of laser light applied to the recorded area portion and the amplitude of the unrecorded push-pull signal normalized by the reflected light amount of the laser light applied to the unrecorded area portion is recorded.
