Abstract

A papermaking felt that would exhibit high resistance to flattening and high water extraction (water permeation) performance on a papermaking machine and that would excel in surface smoothness and dehairing resistance. At least either the MD-direction yarn material or the CMD-direction yarn material of the base material of the papermaking felt consists of a plied yarn obtained through lower twisting of three monofilaments and twisting together multiple resultant yarns so as to attain upper twisting.
