Abstract

The invention provides a technique which makes it possible to form a uniform carbon nanotube dispersion film independently of the characteristics of a carbon nanotube solution or the kind of a substrate and which can enable devices containing the film as the constituent to exert excellent electrical performance and consistent characteristics. According to the invention, the formation of a carbon nanotube dispersion film is conducted on a substrate having recesses and protrusions, so that when the droplet size decreases with solvent evaporation, carbon nanotubes enter into the recesses through the convection in the droplet to form a dispersion film. Thus, the invention makes it possible to inhibit uneven deposition of carbon nanotubes, namely concentrated deposition of many carbon nanotubes in one area, whereby a uniform carbon nanotube dispersion film can be always formed independently of the characteristics of a carbon nanotube solution or the kind of a substrate.
