Abstract

The present invention relates to a vaccine composition for preventing infectious animal diseases caused by bacteria, more precisely a vaccine composition for preventing infectious animal diseases containing the bacterial lysate prepared by lysin, the bacteriophage-originated bacteriolytic protein, capable of destroying specifically peptidoglycan structure of bacterial cell wall. The bacterial lysate prepared by lysin, the bacteriophage-originated bacteriolytic protein, is not converted into a toxic strain, so that it is safer than the conventional live vaccine or attenuated live vaccine and has live vaccine like immunogenicity inducing immune response. Thus, the bacterial lysate of the present invention can be used as a composition having excellent protect ivity against bacterial infection and thereby further applied in a vaccine or a feed additive for preventing infectious animal diseases caused by bacteria.
