Abstract

Disclosed is an illuminating device wherein connection between a driving voltage supply and a wiring line can be simplified. Specifically disclosed is an illuminating device comprising a cold cathode fluorescent lamp (1), a driving means (2) for generating a driving voltage and supplying the driving voltage to the cold cathode fluorescent lamp (1), a power generating means (4) for generating electric power in accordance with changes in the magnetic flux emanating from the driving means (2) during when the driving means (2) generates the driving voltage, and a generation means (5) for generating primary electrons within the cold cathode fluorescent lamp (1) when the electric power is supplied thereto.
